Jonah and I waited for Evie to join us, with finals almost done, we were all still under a lot of pressure.
"Heads up, here she comes" Jonah warned as Evie approached, her face red and angry.
"Oh, wonder what they've done now" I laughed to him as she stomped across the cafe.  "Hey, Pixie you okay?"
"They... I'm going to kill them..." she muttered scowling at me.
I held up my hands in surrender, "Hey, not us, remember we are your friends" I grin at her and she shakes her head mumbling "Sorry".
"What they do this time?" Jonah asks gleefully, and I try to keep my face straight because whilst the ongoing pranks between Evie and her boys are hysterical, she hates that they win sometimes.
"They've hijacked my social media and set up alerts that send me a message every 10 minutes, I can't find a way to stop it, they've locked me out, I'm going to speak to Miss Eva, make them change it back" she moaned, just as her phone pinged making her hiss at it.
"That's cheating, you can't go to their mum, you need to deal with them yourself" I teased her and she groaned again, dropping her head on the table.
"I can't, I'm done, they win" she mumbled and I looked across her to Jonah.
"Pixie, they aren't interfering with your exams, are they?" I worried.
"No, during exams it's silent, its as if they know when I need to concentrate"
"Oh sweetie" Jonah rubbed her back soothingly "You know what they want"
"No" she denied and Jonah and I laughed together "Liar".
"I'm not... oh hell, what should I do, I'm scared" she admitted.  We reached to take her hands.
"Do you want them?" I asked her softly, watching the expressions cross her face before she nodded silently.
"Then go get them" Jonah told her.
"It's not that simple" she argued looking down.
Jonah and I had had a couple of talks with them about their intentions and knew that they were serious about wanting Evie, about wanting a relationship similar to their parents and older brothers.  We knew they were just waiting for Evie to finish Uni, they were also due to finish around the same time and had told us they had jobs already lined up with Rose Securities, they were waiting for her.
"What's not simple, you want them, they want you" I reply.
"But what will people think?" She whispers.
I shake my head at her frowning, "Thats a poor excuse" I snap "who cares what people think, that's what you told me, or was that a lie, do you care I'm gay?  Do you care about Mandy and Diana being together?  What about Mrs Rose? Do you disagree with how we all choose to live".
She looks up at me, her eyes bright with tears, "No. I'm sorry" she whispers. "You're right Nick, I just... I'm scared".
"What are you scared of Pixie?" Jonah soothed.
She flushed bright red "umm, well..." she struggled and Jonah pulled her into a hug "You're innocent?" He asked softly and she nodded silently.
"Pixie, they love you, they won't hurt you, just tell them"
She looked at me in horror and I saw the fire come back in her eyes as she scowled at me. "How Nick, how do I tell them that?" Her head dipped down "Oh I know, I'll get a t-shirt printed with the words I'm a virgin on it or should I text it to them!" she growled.

"That's one way of telling us" Noah said and we all looked up to see the three of them stood behind Evie grinning widely.
"Ahh" Evie cried in embarrassment and grabbed her bag, running out of the cafe.
"Wait, let her go" I called as they turned to go after her, "Let her cool down first, when she thinks it over, she will realise problem solved, you know now"
They pulled out chairs and joined us. Eli looking between Jonah and I. "Do we want to know how that conversation topic came up?" He asked.

"She was telling us you've hacked her Facebook, seemed quite put out about it, then said she was done and was giving in, and..." I shared a look with Jonah before adding "she's scared".
"Of us?" Noah looked worried "why is she scared?"
Jonah laughed at their worried expressions, "it's fear of the unknown"
"But she knows us" Eli asked confused.
I rub my hands through my hair, how can I explain this.  Jonah reaches over the table to take my hand in his "Just say it" he laughs.
"Evie is innocent... totally innocent, she's never had a boyfriend, hell, I don't think she's ever been kissed, she loves you but doesn't know how to 'love you', she's scared she won't be good enough".
The three of them sit in stunned silence at my words, Riki the first to break the silence. "What can we do?" He questions all of us.
"If she was a normal girl I would say take it at her pace, let her lead, but if you do that you'll never get your girl, Evie is stubborn, soft hearted, brilliant but she overthinks everything" they nod at my words "You need to get her to switch off her brain and act with her heart, once you're past that barrier then she'll blossom and let you into her heart totally."
"Yeah but how do we do that?" Eli looked at his brothers, sharing a silent communication before Noah's says  "Mom, we can ask... let's take her to the cottage"

Jonah and I share a panicked look "Hey now, that may be a bit too far out of her comfort range, and nothing before graduation, please, she's too tense, and you'll risk pushing her away" I warn them.
"Okay" Eli laughs holding up his hands in surrender, "We'll be good till after exams finish and graduations done but we need to start planning, if you think of anything let us know" he requests before they all leave us.
Jonah pulls me in for a hug as we watch them leave, both of us thinking about how we can help them with Evie.

It was later that evening as we laid in bed it came to me, "The books" I said aloud.
"What books?"
"Those dog eared romance paperbacks she keeps on her book shelf, and has read a million times.  They need to read what she likes to read, that's her view of romance, they need to become the ultimate book boyfriends" I laughed, imagining how well the boys would take my suggestion.
"That's a great idea, but how are we going to get the books to them without her knowing?"
"She's so busy at the moment with exams she won't notice if we took three, they'll just have to read them quickly, so we can return them".
"I'll send them a text to meet us at lunch then we can tell them, Evie's out first in the morning so we can grab the books as well" Jonah tells me grabbing his phone and sending the text before pulling me into his arms again.
"Sleep now, my romantic mastermind" he ordered and held me as I drifted off to sleep.
