3~ Wattpad Basics- Creating a book

How to begin writing your book:

~To create a book you will need to first go on to ‘My Works’. To get there, hover over the orange button that says your username then move the mouse down a bit to see another button that appeared stating ‘My Works’. Click on that button.

~You should now be on a page that says ‘My Works’ in white against a dark grey background under the orange ‘Wattpad’ sign.

~Now Click on the button to the right ‘My Works’ this should take you to another page which is white, with some tabs.

~Here, you can write your story. To make a title, click on the tab that reads ‘title of your story’ then write your title. When you do this, the tab should turn a slight creamy colour.

~You write one of your chapters in the large tab below.

~ After you have finished your first chapter, fill in the right hand side of the page by clicking and scrolling or typing in tags by putting a space in between them.

~Once you are finished you can either save or save and publish. If you publish it, you can still edit it afterwards. If you don’t publish it, it will appear as a ‘draft’ in ‘My Works’ and no one other than you will be able to see it.

~Once you have Published you’re a chapter or a small section of your story, your book will appear on your profile page under ‘My Works’ and other people will be able to see, read, comment, and vote on your book.

~You can now proceed to the next chapter- ‘Wattpad Basics- creating your book cover’
