How to create a cover for your book:
~To create a cover for your book, you first need to get a picture from the internet and place it on your desktop. (This will be the picture on the front of your book.)
~You then open Word and drag the picture from your desktop onto Microsoft word.
~Double click the picture on your Word document and go to 'layout' change it so that it is 'Behind text'.
~You can now write on top of your picture. Create your book cover by writing on it and changing fonts and colours.
Tip: Write your username/name on the front of your book and have the title and maybe a little comment from the book. If you want to have high standard photos and book covers you can use 'Piclit' It is an easy and quick website that is great and simple to understand. Check out some of my other books and you will get the main concept.
~Once you have completed that task, take a screenshot. To take a screenshot, press command then shift then 4 holding them down until you have pressed the number 4. Your arrow will become a cross. Click ad drag with the cross to take a picture.
~Click and hold the top left corner of your book cover and drag to the bottom right. Let go. You computer will make a click sound and the picture will appear on your desktop.
Note: his may not work for some damaged or particular computers. It works for all macs though.
~Go onto wattpad, log in and go to 'My Works' which is an orange button beneath your username. Click 'upload' which is a button to the right of your book. Your cover will now appear enlarged on the screen. Press the new 'upload' button and choose the picture from your desktop.
~Your book now has a new cover!
