****George's point of view****

I woke up and I felt like shit. Bethany was reading the potion book for something to do. I watched her a while until she realised I was awake.

'Hey baby, you doing OK?' I shrugged as I sat up.

'Is it still today?' Bethany laughed and then realised it wasn't a joke, but it was OK, because her laugh is amazing.

'Um, well it is still Sunday yes. Fred is away to see Dumbeldore about tomorrow and you parents are still with Snape.' I smiled, that means that we are all alone.

'Hey, this virus thing, it's not contagious is it?' I asked, just to make sure.

'Um, no it isn't contagious. Your body is trying to get rid of the potion by, coughing it out, barfing it out, sweating it out. But unfortunatley, the only thing that is gonna stop the potion is the antidote.' She sighed and turned the book towards me. She flicked back a few pages and showed me the recipe for the antidote. It needed things I never even heard of before.

'OK... It's certainly complex.' She looked down at the recipe.

'It's harder than complex George. This antidote has only been made a few times before. I... I...' She couldn't finish the rest of the sentence.

'If it's not contagious, then please don't mind me doing this.'

I leant forward and kissed her. It tasted salty, because tears were pouring down her face. I put my arms around her, to keep her safe from the outside world. She put her arms around my neck and kept kissing me. We stopped after a while and she wiped her eyes with a tissue. I felt better. I asked her to take my temperature and she said it had gone down. I coughed and she gave me another hug.

'I've got to do some work OK, but I'll stay right here, I might not speak to much though.' I nodded and watched her as she took out her work and started on it. I must of fallen asleep again, because the next time I opened my eyes Fred was sitting next to me, hugging a sobbing Bethany. I coughed pointedly. They both looked up surprised. Bethany, still sobbing, quickly came towards me, I caught her and I smelt her sweet hair, whilst she sobbed onto my chest. I looked at Fred and he cleared his throat.

'George, um, Mum and Dad have left, and they're back at Grimmauld Place. Snape... He, uh. He won't make the antidote.' Bethany sobbed harder and I looked down at her. She was taking this so badly. That, kind of meant the world to me. That means she cared about me, loads. She looked up at my face.

'I t-t-thought h-he would. F-for m-me at l-least. H-e might o-of b-been y-your only chance!' She wept. I wiped away her tears with my sleeve, and kissed her on the nose.

'I am going to be fine, Bethany. I promise I won't leave you in this world alone.' She stood up and got the potion book. She found the antidote and looked at the recipe.

'Right... Ah... Hmm..' After a lot of 'Rights' 'Ahs' and 'hmms' Bethany finally looked up. 'I can do this. I can definetley do this if I try hard enough. Now that I think about it, it's only the ingredients that are complex, not the actual recipe it's self. She looked at me and Fred. 'George do you mind if I'm not with you tomorrow? So I can make the antidote?' I smiled and nodded at her, and Fred said irritatedley

'So I didn't have to go to Dumbledore about the lessons?' She laughed. 'Actually you did. I'll need to make the potion somewhere downstairs where I am on my own and I won't be disturbed for the whole day sooo.' She was quite composed, considering how badly she was crying half an hour ago.

The next day I mainly slept, and after lessons Fred came to see me. 'Is Bethany still making the antidote?' I ask as he sits down at my bed. 'Yeah, but I have no idea where she is. She told me she was down in the potion department but I couldn't find her in any of the classrooms.' We joked about for a bit and made up funny pranks to do on Umbridge. When Fred had to leave, we promised we would do a few when I was better. Dumbledore came in shortly after Fred left. He asked where Bethany was. 'She's making the antidote to the virus poison thing. She needed the whole day, and she's been there the whole day, sir.' His eyes stopped twinkling when I finished. 'But, I thought Professor Snape was asked to make it.' I shook my head. 'He, er, he refused to make it, sir.' Dumbledore nodded and we said goodbye. 'Good night, Mr Weasley.' 'Good night, headmaster.'

Bethany came in on Wednesday, with big black marks underneath her eyes, and she was yawning. But she was looked quite pleased with herself as she came closer. 'I made it George! You're gonna be better in a minute, I just have to tell Madam Pomfrey.' She waited for Madam Pomfrey to finish checking the other patients until she went over. They both came over to my bed and Madam Pomfrey gave me the right amount. I drank it and it tasted nice, and sweet. 'Is it usually that sweet?' I ask, as I start feeling better and better. 'Um, no. I added a little sugar to make it nicer. I'm glad it did.' I got out of the bed and Madam Pomfrey made me sit down again. 'Mr Weasley, please can you stay a little while longer, so I can do a few check ups.' It was more of a statement than a question, but I obeyed and she did the check ups. She nodded at me approvingly. 'There we go dear, good as new. But do come back if your still coughing.' I thanked her and Bethany and I walked out into the hall.

When I knew we were alone, I picked her up and turned on the spot. She laughed and I put her down again. I kissed her neck and thanked her again and again. 'Oh, it was nothing...' But I knew it wasn't. Making the antidote took about two days. Two days worth of studying, worth of sleep, worth of lessons. 'Now I don't have to worry about you throwing up on me anymore.' She laughed and I laughed with her. I kept kissing her neck and she had her arms around my neck. She leant against my chest and I thought about when I first went to the hospital wing, when she "helped me". I stopped kissing her neck and kissed her lips instead. I heard somebody walking down the hallway, but I didn't stop. Not until Bethany pulled away and gave me a small nudge did I stop, and I saw why Bethany nudged me. Umbridge was walking towards us, and she didn't look very happy. 'What are you two doing?' I frowned. 'We were kissing.' I replied, rather pointedly. Umbridge didn't like that. She glared at me and finally said, 'I thought you were in the Hospital Wing, Mr Weasley.' I nodded. 'Yeah, I was discharged today. I... got better.' I hoped she didn't notice when I hesitated. She didn't. 'Is kissing a crime?' Bethany put her hand up to her mouth to stop her from laughing. Her eyes were bright and they were sparkling. 'Don't be cheeky Mr Weasley, or else you'll get a detention.' She giggled disgustingly and finished off. 'If I see you two doing something inappropriate again, there will be consequences.' Another little girly giggle came out of her. Bethany nodded and we watched her walk down the stairs. We went away to the Common Room, and when we walked in, everyone cheered.

'People have missed you.' Pointed out Bethany and we went to sit by Fred. Lee clapped me on the back and they both gave Bethany a hug. Lee was daring enough to give her a peck on the cheek. 'You look terrible.' Said Fred to Bethany. 'You're not looking too bad yourself.' I replied and we laughed. Fred and I went and did some demonstrations of the new Skiving Snackbox sweet, Fever Fudge. Bethany shook her head at me and I realised why. I just got out of the hospital wing, after having a fever. And now I'm eating sweets that make me have a fever.

What is it with me?
