•••Here we go again with the beautiful sound of an alarm.. First day of senior year, about damn time.
I get up and do my same old routine. Get dressed, hair, makeup, blah blah blah.
Once I'm done getting ready I grab my bag and stuff a notebook and pens in there. That's basically all you need. I don't get why people carry around all this nonsense they end up not needing.
*bing*
It's either Jade or the group chat.
"Are we still having breakfast?" - Danny
"Are we carpooling?" - Sam
"Are we still going to the mall after school right?" - Jade
"Guys we cant be late on the first day! Make up your minds! " - Abby
"Abby chill the fuck out!"
"Are we getting food or what!?" - Danny"Yes, I'll pick y'all up in 10." I send and put my phone in my back pocket.
I go to the kitchen to grab a water and as I'm about leave Heidi clears her throat to stop me.
"Are you forgetting something?" She asks me with a hand on her hip.
"Morning Heidi, I'm getting breakfast with the girls before school." I let her know while I'm making my way out.
"Lennon." She places a bottle of advil on the counter and slides it to the end of it.
I go to grab it and mouth a thank you before heading to the garage.
I pick up Danny first since she's closer, then I pick up Jade. Sam drives Abby since they live right across from each other.
We all make it to the diner and realize we have less than an hour to eat. Which ain't too bad since the school is about 5 minutes away.
"You think they'll talk about what happened yesterday?" Abby asks all of us.
"They know better than to mention that shit." Jade responds to Abby.
"Yeah but she has to be new, I mean I've never seen her before. Have you guys?" Abby asks us all again. And I start thinking, she's right. I have never seen that girl in my life.
"So by the look of us all, none of us know who she is?" Sam stats. We all look at each other and shake our heads. "Well shit. Let's hope she doesn't open her mouth." Sam chuckles.
Well shit indeed.
••••"Give me the aux!" Danny demands Jade.
"Dan, I swear to god.." I look at her through the rear view mirror. Danny is unpredictable when it comes to picking music. Sometimes she does good and other times I want to throw her out the car.
