Thief In Time

chapter 3

Sly’s POV

I woke up when my alarm rang at 9 o’clock in the morning. Today is another day of stealing. I need to steal the “Red Tear”. It’s a huge, blue diamond. That’s right; it’s blue even though it’s called the red tear.  The reason is because when there is flame near it, the Jewel will respond to the heat and will immediately turn red. “Sly! Get up! Big problem!” Bentley exclaimed as he started banging on my bed room door. “I’m coming”

I started changing quickly and went down stairs to see what was going on. Both Bentley and Murry were gathered around their laptop and had a serious face on. “What’s wrong, guys?” I asked, confused as to why they were so serious. “We have a problem.

All the security systems have been replaced just recently with new ones and the security guards are really stricked around the museum. It seems as though they knew that we were coming and immediately replaced them. ” Bentley said all worked up. “Sigh. I think I know who’s responsible for this. HELEN! DID YOU INFORM THE POLICE ABOUT OUR PLAN AGAIN?” I exclaimed and heard footsteps coming from upstairs.

“Yea! It was me! This was to teach you a lesson not to use my toothbrush again!” my younger sister shouted at me. “As sharp as ever, I see. How did you know?”  I asked, curious. “I examined the finger prints that were on them and found yours so I told the police about your plan. DON’T EVER, AND I MEAN EVER, TOUCH MY TOOTHBRUSH AGAIN!!!!!! Stupid idiot of a brother! This is the 5th time I change my tooth brush this month! Next time you do it, I’ll tell the police about this hideout!” she stomped back upstairs.

I let out a small chuckle. It’s so fun messing with my little sister. “Sly! If you keep messing with Helen like this, she might really tell the police about this hideout! And you know how serious she is!” Bentley said with a worried tone. “Ok ok I get it. Do you think you have enough time to hack through the new security system?” I asked Bentley and he nodded.

“But what about the security guards?” Murry asked and I gave him a confidential smirk “don’t worry, pal. They are a piece of cake to me “

8o’clock that day

“Ok! It’s time for me to hit the road!” I said to myself in excitement and pressed the button to release the sleeping gas. All the guards fell asleep and I went down to claim the “Red Tear” but, like every time I try to steal something, my arch enemy has to show up.

Carmelita was pointing her gun to my face and started talking with that harsh tome of hers. “YOU NO GOOD, LYING THIEF! THIS TIME, I’M GOING TO ARREST YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!”  

I smirked and said “you always call me a Lying thief but the truth is I never lied. If you’re talking about our ‘date’ in the helicopter, try remembering what I said. I agreed that you can arrest me and take me into the helicopter but never agreed for you to take me to jail.”  My smirk went wider and her expression got angrier.

Suddenly, I felt something hard hit my head and the last I thing I remember was Carmelita’s shocked expression.

Carmelita’s POV

His smirk got wider and my expression became angrier. Suddenly, I saw a big figure behind him and then all of a sudden, he was knocked out.

I looked at him in shock as he fell to the ground and blood started coming out of his head. “There! We finally got rid of that rat!” I looked up and saw Sir Galoth Paradox.

He escaped from jail a few weeks ago and now he showed his face? I glared at him and after a few seconds, he noticed me. “Hey, you’re that inspector that I kidnapped before going to jail?” sir Galoth asked curiously before turning his back to me and started walking away. “I’ll have my guards take care of small fry like you.” He said and that was the last straw.

“NOBODY TOUCHES MY CRIMINAL, EXCEPT FOR ME!!!” I started shooting at that piece of shit that just took care of my prey. I am gonna kill him.

I ran up to him and kicked him in the head and he was knocked out. Sly sat up and started rubbing the back of his head. I ran up to him and stood there. “What’s going on? Who are you?” he asked. What did he just say? “I’m inspector Carmelita Mintoya” I answered.

“Who am I?” he asked and at that moment, it hit me. Sly Cooper just got Amnesia. This is my chance. He has always been good at many things and I always wished that he would have become a policeman instead of a thief. “You’re my partner, Edward Claremont. Remember?” I asked.

“No, but that name sounds familiar. Along with the name Carmelita. What happened?” he asked “we were chasing after Sir Galoth Paradox who ran away from jail when you got knocked out. I took care of him but I think you got amnesia. Here, let’s get you home, ok?” I asked as I reached my hand up for him. And he took it and got up.

Bentley’s POV

It’s been 3 months since Sly has disappeared.  We went and investigated the place he was last spotted at and found his knife lying there with a mask. This was his mask.

He leaves copies of these masks to tell the police that he already is successful in stealing. Murry went back to wrestling and I haven’t been seeing Helen a lot since she is busy with her boyfriend in work.

She found herself a really nice boyfriend and a well-paying job of a doctor and I started working on a new machine with my girlfriend, Phenelophy, which could improve the world.
