After I was done getting dressed for the party, Jamal and Ruby came flying into my room. "You're actually going!!!"

"Yes, Jamal" I sighed.

"But it's not safe" Ruby ranted.

"That's what they said about the military, but I'm doing just fine" I huffed.

"That's different!" Jamal cried.

"It doesn't matter. I'm going and you can't change my mind" I grabbed my phone and started walking towards the front door.

"At least text us, so we know you're okay. I'll even make a group chat." Ruby suggested.

I nodded and started walking towards the santos house. When I arrived the front yard was packed with people. There were girls shaking ass and guys drinking like sailors. I pushed passed a group of drunks just to into the house, where it was also crowded. I noticed Selena and Chanel were here. I went to high school with them and back then we used to be really close. I made my way over to them and before I even got within a feet of them Chanel came barreling towards me.

"Lani!!! You're home!" She shouted as she engulfed me into a firm hug. Selena hopped on the hug making me feel like I was gonna suffocate. Eventually they both gave me some space and looked me over.

"And you look good mami" Selena smacks my ass. I glared at her before smiling. "Let me stop, I forgot Oscar was the only one allowed to touch you." She joked.

I rolled my eyes and pushed her playfully. "I still owe you a ass whooping for dating Leon behind my back, don't make me take you up on it."

"Oh I won't chica, you're the last female I want to fight" Selena chuckles.

"Yeah Lani, you fight dirty" Chanel joined in.

"I fight to win, there's a difference" I smirked.

"So have you seen your mans yet?" Chanel asked. "He's looking especially spooky tonight, if you know what I mean."

"You messy bitch. That is not my man.......anymore" I laughed.

"That's what you think" Selena jabbed. "I still ship it"

"How about you and Leon? How's that going?" I said trying to shift the conversation off of me.

"We're actually getting married next year in the spring" She smiled.

"Congratulations!" I shouted. "Now lets go dance!"

The three of us hit the dance floor. We were dancing together, swaying our hips to the music. It had honestly felt like it was just the three of us dancing and joking around until I felt hand rest upon my hips. I looked behind me to see Spooky holding me in place. I looked back at the girls to see them smirking and winking at me. I pushed Oscar's hands off me and pushed passed him. I started walking towards the kitchen but he quickly grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"Where are you going?" He smirked. "I'm not done with you"

"Well I'm done with you" I sighed.

"You can't mean that" He says while grabbing his chin. "If you did, you wouldn't be here. At my house. At my party" he smiles.

I stared at the man I used to be in love with. Oscar has always been handsome. Most girls fell for the looks alone but I was more fascinated by how perfect his teeth were. And watching him smile at me like that almost made me forget that I hated him. Almost.

"Oscar go away. Isn't your ruca somewhere around here?" I huffed.

"You are my ruca, Lani" He smirked. "Now stop playing and give daddy what he wants."

"Tuh" I rolled my eyes. "Don't get shot."

Oscar chuckled and wrapped me up in his arms again. "I've missed you baby."

"I haven't missed you." I told him. Which was a complete lie. I thought about him all the time and I hated it. Why can't I just fall in love with a white boy, with good credit? But no I just had to fall for the gang leader.

"Mhmm whatever. Let's get out of here" He said as he started pulling me out the house.
