chapter 3: The Kingdom of Lucis

It had been 3 hours since Jane boarded the imperial ship heading to Insomnia and Jane was bored out of her mind. She wanted to fidget with something but she was to worried it would give her away. Soldiers don't fidget with their stuff.

About half and hour later of waiting, Jane heard over the speaker that they had arrived in Insomnia and were landing right now. When they landed down and were given their orders to head to the Citadel she gladly accepted them.

Once Jane got to the Citadel she saw Luna walking up the steps of the castle towards the open doors. What surprised Jane was that the group that she had been on the plane with were going up into the castle as well.

When Jane got into the Citadel she quietly sneaked off towards another room. She quietly opened the door and slowly walked in making sure that nobody was in there and then quietly closed the door. But she had picked this room by no accident, she knew this was some type of locker room.

Jane walked over and opened one of the lockers to find clothes, but what caught her eye was the insignia on the back of the jacket. She recognized that insignia, it was the symbol of the Kingsglaive, the elite soldiers that protect Lucis using the King Regis's powers.

An idea popped into Jane's head, she could get around the castle if she was wearing a glaive uniform. She began searching the lockers for female fitted clothes.

Jane was not a small girl like Luna. Jane was average height, but she had a more built figure with bigger muscles than average females. But since they were Glaive members in shouldn't be to hard to find the right fit.

After a couple minutes of searching Jane found the right fit from a locker with the name of “Crowe Altius”. It came with a standard female glaive uniform with a hood and face coverer attached. Jane quickly undressed from the armor and slipped into the glaive uniform. Jane was actually liking the style of the glaive  uniforms, they were fierce.

Once Jane made her way back to the front where the set of doors to the throne room were. She needed to get inside the throne room, but they were guarded by two guards.

Jane, not wanting to kill them elected to knock them out. She used one of her abilities to warp using her Glaive knife above the guards and take the one left of them down. The downfall to this quickly thought out plan was that it alerted the other guard immediately. Although the guard was not quick enough to act so she took him out with a quick kick to the back of the head. She moved to open one of the doors when something unexpected happened…

Nyx Ulric was in the throne room with the king and the princess Lunafreya when he heard strange noises coming from outside the throne room doors. As an Glaive would have done he went to go check what was happening. He opened one of the doors when…

WHAM!

He got an elbow right to the face. He stepped back a couple of steps while grunting. While this happened the unknown assailant entered the room which had the King and Luna on edge.

Jane and Nyx started fighting even though Jane was trying to back out so she could talk. That is when Nyx warped above Jane trying to attack her. In a split moment decision, Jane warped up to meet Nyx, she summoned her Katana to strike when King Regis yelled “STOP!”. Which startled Jane who lost her balance and had to warp down.

“Are you here to assassinate me?” King Regis spoke in a commanding tone. Jane who had composed herself remember what she was truly here for.

“I am not here to assassinate you my king…” Jane said while pulling off the mask to reveal her identity. “I am Janefreya Regis Bontari, princ- Queen of Altissia. I have come for Luna…”
Everybody in the room was startled by the sudden appearance of the Queen of Altissia.

“Lady Jane, I apologize for not recognizing you sooner. It has been a long time…” The king looked down at his feet with remorse, for he had failed the kingdom of Altissia and their  Sovereign king and queen.

Jane looked over to see Luna just staring at her. They together moved their bodies in each others direction and hugged. It was the type of hug that  Conveyed what they wanted to say without words.

“How did you get out of Tenebre Jane?” Luna asked.

“It doesn't matter how i got here, all that matters is that i am here.” Jane let go of Luna and turned to the Glaive, quickly apologizing for the attack. She then turned her attention back to King Regis, “King Regis i fear that this is a trap, there is no way Niflheim would agree to a treaty so easily. I think it best that you be on your guard.”
