Dean got onto the bus and saw Rory sitting in the back. He'd meant to meet up with her and just hang out for a few minutes before they got on, but he had woken up late.
He sat down behind her, smiling fondly at her and peering over her shoulder. "Hey."
Rory jumped, looking back to see him sitting there. She turned around as the bus started to move. "Dean, hi."
"Hey. So... is that a good book?" Dean said, leaning over to get a closer look.
"Yeah." Rory nodded. She turned to face him. "I wish you could stay on the bus longer."
"I do too. But I'll call you tonight. Maybe we can hang out." Dean smiled, looking out the window to see they were close to the high school.
"Absolutely. I love you." Rory kissed his cheek and watched as he got off the bus. Dean stood on the sidewalk and waved at her as the bus drove off.
