Y/N's POV

"The special motive I've prepared is the First Blood Perk!" Monokuma's cackle sent shivers down my spine. Actually.. my entire body was shivering. Everyone had avoided talking about the killing game, but yet, here it is, shoved into our faces once more. "Wow! For the first murder, a class trial won't be held! Can you believe it? That means the first one to kill will graduate, no strings attached!"
"No class trial will be held?" Maki asked. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Were people actually going to go along with this?!
"I'm sorry I made the class trial seem more important than it really is..." The sickly bear began, "So for the first murder, I've decided not to hold a class trial at all!" I started to feel dizzy, even though yesterday was a shocker as well, I couldn't calm myself down now that there was a motive. Everything around me went blurry, until I couldn't tell how many fingers I had. I could only hear people talking to Monokuma, and as I felt my legs go weak, I muttered all I could in the moment.
"Rantaro—"

Rantaro's POV

"You should be focusing on how you plan to survive~." Monokuma said.
"Why you bastard!" Kaito, with his expected, rage-filled comment.
"I see, the prisoner's dilemma. How very-" I responded, unaware of who was going to interrupt me.
"Rantaro—" I looked to my right, to see Y/N with foggy eyes, her pupils small. All of a sudden, her eyes closed and she fell backwards off her seat. All I heard was a loud thud before I had time to react.
"Y/N?" I stood up in my seat and began shaking her. "Y/N?! Shit.." I tried to remain calm, but I noticed myself cursing under my breath as I shook her.
"Oh, come on! Don't overreact, puhuhu!" Monokuma cackled behind me. Everyone slowly approached Y/N, though Tenko, Kiibo, and Kokichi dashed over.
"Kokichi! Careful!" Kiibo shouted as the grape came running to Y/N's side.
"Oh my god, is she okay?!" Tsumugi exclaimed.
"If someone would stop pushing me, I'd be able to check!" I hissed at Kokichi. He looked at me, clearly taking a hint and slowly backed up. I picked up Y/N's wrist, checking for a pulse. When I felt a pulse, I let out a sigh of relief.
"She's alright." I said. "But she shouldn't stay here. I'm gonna bring her back to the dorms, alright?"
"Oh my god! The green-ass playboy is into dead bodies!" Miu yelled. I looked at her with several questions. My first one being the one I regretted the most.
"What did you just say?"
"I said, you wanna f*ck dead Miss Dipshit!"
"Miu, she's not dead. She just fainted."
"Fine then, you just want to date a fainted Miss Dipshit!"
"I was going to take her back to her dorm, not mine."
"How are you going to do that? You'd need her key!"
"That's true... unless you know where she keeps it, you're gonna have trouble getting into her dorm." Shuichi surprisingly took Iruma's side.
"Yeah, I bet that dipshit keeps it in her bra like the ho she is!" Miu exclaimed.
"You're one to talk..." Himiko muttered as Kokichi stifled a laugh.
"Yeah, fuck-up fairy. I saw you putting your key between those deflated beach balls of yours this morning." Kokichi glared at Miu.
"Wh-wh-" Miu didn't have anything to say, she just made.. noises...
"In any case, I can get into her room. Our keys wo—" I stopped myself. "I mean, Monokuma made a mistake, and gave her two. Since her and I are good friends, she gave me the extra." I stated.
"Still, a degenerate shouldn't bring her back, god knows what you'll do with her! Just let me!" Tenko grabbed Y/N's other hand. If she wasn't unconscious right now, she'd probably be howling with laughter. I would let Tenko just bring her, but now that I've begun the whole "extra key" lie, I can't blow my cover.
"I have the extra key, Tenko. I need to take her back." I argued.
"Just give me the key, then!" She demanded. It was actually my key, so I needed to come up with another lie to keep my last one going.. god, I'm turning into Kokichi.
"I promised her I'd keep it close with me. Sorry, Tenko, can't break a promise." I told her.
"I bet they pinky-promised! Tenko, you can't break a pinky-promise!" Himiko whined.
"Uh.. right. We pinky-promised." I said, putting up my right pinky. All of a sudden, Kokichi appeared in front of me with his hands behind his head.
"Do you pinky-promise that you pinky-promised?" He asked with a childish grin.
"What? I'm.. completely lost." Kaede muttered, confused. Kokichi grips my pinky with his.
"Well? Do you pinky-promise or not, Rantaro?" Kokichi looked up at me. He reminded me of one of my sisters... I just tried to imagine her asking me one of her childish questions.
"Of course I do, Kokichi. I pinky-promise that I pinky-promised." I said, shaking his pinky with a smile.
"Can you guys stop screwing around and just take her to the dorms already?" Hoshi nagged, clearly too tired to deal with Kokichi's stupid games.
"Right." I said, picking up Y/N bridal style.
"Hey.. where'd Monokuma go?" I tilted my head at Kiibo's question, looking over where the black and white bear was not too long ago.
"He probably got bored with us after Y/N fainted. But the motive probably still stands..." I said, trying to not show that I knew we wouldn't be able to escape this hell after that overpowered motive of Monokuma's was announced.
"We don't have to worry about his motive! Nobody here would ever do anything like that!" Kaede exclaimed, trying to pump up the group. I wanted to believe in her, but I knew she couldn't be more wrong.
"I'm gonna head over to the dorms, then." I said, exiting the dining hall, still carrying Y/N.
Once I arrived at the dorms, I reached into my pocket, shuffling for my key. I unlocked Y/N'a dorm door and slowly opened it, revealing her mess of a room. I set her down on the bed and pulled a sheet over her, but it was definitely messy in the room.
She's been in here one night... did someone di- oh, that's not appropriate for the situation. Unless Y/N did.. that... but with who? No one was in sight when we walked back to the dorms last night. Could someone have been waiting in here for her? No, that can't be it, right? She wouldn't do something like that, she's not that kind of person.
I looked around the room, picking up what I could. If Kirumi came in here instead of me, she might've had a stroke or something. I'm sure messes upset her. She is the Ultimate Maid, after all. Eventually, after picking up a few things, I find a chair sit on it backwards. I'm not sure why, I've just always found this position more comfortable.

Y/N's POV

I felt myself wake up. I rubbed my eyes, then looked around. No one other than the avocado, himself, Rantaro Amami, was in my room, sitting on a chair backwards while sleeping. I grabbed at my sheets, trying to collect my thoughts.
What happened? Why is Rantaro in my room?
Questions of that sort ran through my mind. I remember Monokuma announcing a motive, and then my vision going blurry. Now, Rantaro is in my room.. did I get drunk on the F/B we had or something? I stand up, my steps wobbly. I shake Rantaro, frantically and confused.
"Rantaro! Hey! Wake up! Dummy! Rantarooooo!" I stretch out my words. "If you don't wake up... I'll.. um... I'll tell Tenko you fell asleep in my room!" No answer. "Cmon, Rantaro! Wake up! Tarooooooo-"
"Ritsuki.. five more minutes..." he mumbled. I poked him.
"Who's Ritsuki? Rantaro, wake up!" I nag, puffing my cheeks.
"Huh? Oh, hi Y/N... you're awake." He looked up, resting his chin on his hand. His morning face... or at least, waking up face, was kinda cute... "Hey! Earth to Y/N! Who's not waking up now?" He waves his hand in front of my face.
"Oh! Uh.. sorry. Just got lost in thought... who's Ritsuki?" I ask, pushing his hand away.
"Oh.. nobody. Don't worry about it." He said, clearly not wanting to explain who she was. "You just reminded me of her. She called me Taro a lot."
"Is that so? Was she like.. your girlfriend or something?" I ask, curious even though he told me not to worry earlier.
"What? No. Nothing like that.." he chuckles. "Y/N, she's my sister."
"Oh my god!" I cover my mouth. "I'm so sorry I had no idea holy crap oh my godddd."
"It's alright. You can owe me as an apology though." He looked at me, smiling as always. "I'll be able to cash in a favour anytime I want to. Just as you did, with the whole breakfast thing this morning."
"Fine." I pout.
"Aw, don't pout. We have a big day ahead of us!" He teased.
"What do you mean? I already fainted, what else could be such a big event it would take up the entire day?" I ask, groaning a bit. I really wanted to lay back and relax today.
"Well, I kinda.. noticed something this morning when you came into the dining hall." I look at him, expecting a explanation. "You kept on looking at everyone with this nervous expression on your face."
"I guess it was really that obvious, then... I still feel bad for the outburst yesterday." I explained.
"I figured. So, today, you're gonna go and apologize to those who may be graced with said apology, with me as your best friend encouraging you behind the scenes. That sound good to you?" His idea wasn't that bad.
"Sure, I guess I can't just hide from everyone forever. You don't need to be the creepy guy in the bushes though!" I said, letting out a small chuckle.
"Oh, perfect. 'Cause I actually have something to do." He said, standing up. "Are you gonna be alright or do I have to follow you around for the day?" He asked, teasing a bit.
"I think I can do it. What are you doing, anyway?" I tilted my head.
"It's nothing." He walked over to the door. "Good luck on your apologies N/N!"
"Good luck on.. whatever you're doing Taro!" I replied with a smile.
Wait.. did he just call me... N/N? Well, I guess we both have nicknames now.
