I finally arrived at school, and it's a huge building. I stepped out of the bus and I see my best friend, Derek. "Hey, Josh," he called. "Howdy, Derek, what's up?" I replied. "Nothing much," he answered.
Then, as I walk in the hallway, I saw a sign at the door, "Mrs. Jones" it said. "This must be my class," I thought. I took a deep breath, touched the knob, and opened the door. There are a LOT of children in this room! It's REALLY crazy in there! Then, Mrs. Jones, my new school teacher walks in, "Okay, children, time for your VERY first day of school!" Everyone got into their places, ready to learn.
Now, it's Recess, and I'm STILL thinking about Zoey from a few hours ago. And Derek headed right towards me. "Hey, Josh," he said. "Oh, howdy Derek," I replied. What's up?" he asked. "Well, I'm thinking about Zoey" I answered. "And I'm too shy to talk to her more. What do I do?" Then Derek sends me a word of advice, "Just give her some flowers, that'll cheer her up," he told me.
And so, I picked up a few flowers and walked towards her. "Zoey...will you marry me?" I asked her. "Oh, I wish I could, but now's not the perfect time, okay?" she answered. "You see, we're not old enough to get married, and you need an engagement ring for this, not flowers, but thanks for the offer! Then again, we should still be friends, okay?" Then, she walks away.
At the end of the day, I sat at the table, disappointed, looking at my dinner, poking at the steak. "Is there something wrong, sweetie,?" my mom asked. "You looked sad on your first day." I looked at her and told her, "I found my first girlfriend, her name is Zoey, and I gave her a bunch of flowers, but she said we're 'not old enough' and I'm not sure about this."
"Well, you can try growing up," Amelia told me. "But how?" I asked. "Well, eating your food is one way," my dad said. I dropped the fork and started to tear up the steak with my mouth. "Look at him, chowing down on that steak," Tanner snickered. Minutes later, I was done, "Okay, guys, I'm off to get ready for bed now good night!" I rushed upstairs. I washed my fur, brushed my teeth, and headed straight for bed.
