Shot in the Dark

Chapter One

I took a deep breath as I took my bags out of the back of the cab. I threw them over my shoulder,thanking the cab driver with a tip. I slowly opened the arena doors,taking everything in. This is nothing like NXT. I never thought I'd make it here. I always hoped I would. I started making my way down the hallway when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I quickly grabbed it,putting the persons arm behind their back. "Ow,Lexy! It's me. It's Hunter." I gasped,quickly letting him go,my face now red. "Oh my god,Paul. I'm SO sorry!" I covered my mouth. "It's quite alright." He smiled. "I wanted to welcome you,and show you around. First,I'll show you your dressing room." I followed him closely,listening to everything he said. When he opened the door,I took it in,and nodded. Hasn't changed since I was a kid,or so it seemed. "This is catering,and over there is the gorilla. This is the diva's locker room. But your father suggested that you have your own," He smirked. "Of course he did. Thanks dad." I smirked,rolling my eyes. Steve Austin is my father. One in a million that man. "Over there is the Superstars locker room. You debut tonight,so I suggest you get familiar,make some friends. Explore." He smiled. "Thank you,Paul. And sorry again about your arm." I smiled. "No worries." He smiled,walking away. 

I found my way back to my dressing room. I pulled out my special made ring gear,throwing on my top. I put my bottom on,and put my boots on after,lacing them up. I put on my gloves with no fingers,and grabbed a sweater. I didn't want anyone seeing my top just yet. I walked out of my dressing room,bumping into a few girls. "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry!" I gasped. I knelt down,helping them pick up their papers. "It's okay!" She flashed her smile. "I'm Nikki,this is my sister Brie,and that's Paige." We all stood up. "I'm Lexy. It's really nice to meet you." I smiled,handing them their papers back. "You're from NXT,right? Steve's daughter?" Brie asked. "Yeah. I am. I'm also two for two tonight. When I got here,I almost tore Paul's arm off because he caught me off guard." I smirked. "That I would have loved to see." Nikki smiled. "Do you want to join us? We're just going to go get something to eat." Paige offered. "Sure,I'd love to." I smiled. We walked down the hallways getting to know one another. "Well,well,well. What do we have here? Sluts are us." "The only slut I see is right in front of me." I popped off. I closed my eyes,taking a deep breath. "Damn it." I mumbled to myself. "Who the hell do you think you are?" AJ walked up to me. "I'm Lexy Austin. Nice to meet you." I held my hand out. The girls were trying to hold back their laughter. "Oh great. Another wannabe. Let's make something clear here,Lexy. I'm the best of the best. I control what happens to you. Don't fuck that up. So you can either stay here with these whores,or come be a real woman with me and my girls." She smiled,gesturing to the girls behind her,and crossing her arms. "I think i'll stick with my whores. I just see one big huge pile of trash in front of me." I smirked. AJ screamed,and stomped,taking off with her girls. "That was awesome!" The girls squealed. 

"Before we forget. Whatever you do,watch out for the Wyatt boys. They really are crazy." Paige said. "Alright." I said. We talked for a little while longer,before we went our separate ways. I made my way down to the gorilla,where I waited to be told what to do. I took my jacket off,revealing my top. It was my dads logo with my own little spin on it. "Okay Lex,this is it. AJ is your target." Hunter said. "AJ,got it." I said. "That's your cue." He said. I heard my ring  song "Light It Up".  The crowd was going insane,I ran into the ring,attacking AJ. "Cole,I do believe this is Steve Austin's daughter,Lexy!" King said. "What does she want with AJ?! Where did she come from!?" He said. "Who the hell do you think you are?!" She yelled into a mic. "Oh baby girl. I'm your worst nightmare." I smirked,out of breath. "Why don't you just go ba-" She was cut off by the Wyatt boy's music. "Fuck." I heard her say. They were all of a sudden in the ring surrounding me. "Can I help you boys?" "Oh sister Abigail. You're finally here. We've been waiting for you to join us." "I'm not joining you bozo's." They smirked,and one of them punched me,causing me to fall. They grabbed me by my hair. I quickly got away with a cheap shot to Bray's face. That didn't go over well. I ran back stage,knowing they were after me, I ran,while looking back,and saw them rounding the corner after me. I ran into someone,almost falling backwards. "Go! Go,he's coming!" I yelled. They put me behind them,stopping the Wyatt hounds from getting to me. After catching my breath,I realized who was in front of me. They turned around,and I was face to face with The Shield.
