The Forest

"Long ago when human and the unknown lived in harmony, there was a circus that preformed at midnight in the middle of the forest. Humans visited the circus often and laughed the night away." A voice said. It was distorted and ethereal but, I could tell it was a woman speaking. "The circus contained many acts including the taming of chimeras and flying tricks of pegasi. But, there was one act that only showed once a year at the circus that no one wanted to miss. This act was the act of the twin clowns that did many different types of tricks."

"One night, the two twins decided they would stop their acts but, did one last trick. When the their show had started, the circus disappeared into thin air. No one knew where it went and the people watching them, also went missing." Another added. I recognize it as One's and looking at the others I can tell I'm not the only one.

"The towns people were frightened and even when a new circus started, they never attended it. They assumed the fairies had planned it. Angered at this, the fairy king brought down a rain that didn't stop and flooded the lands." The unknown woman continued.

"Soon after, the people that had disappeared with the old circus came back and confronted the farefolk and the towns people. They were radiating with white light and they spoke. 'Stop this, nothing is wrong. This fued should not continue.' One hundred and nine voices rang out. The rain stopped and everyone decided to get along once more." One continued. "But of course, there were those few who didn't think like the others. Fourteen refused to be in harmony. All of them fairies, two of them the mislead twin clowns. They did make plans to stop the harmony but, that is a different story..."

"That story being the creation of Akuma." The woman said ashamedly. "How real demons gained access to the world. The first they held the circus in never held shadows until one night, the fourteen fairies entered and performed a spell. The shadows appeared and took the appearance of the villagers they captured in caused all sorts of mayhem.

For their freedom, the shadows gave the fairies knowledge that would help them in their mission. With their collaboration, the fairies and shadows made an egg was bore all akumas with the combination of shadow and fairy blood. The plan created by none other than the mislead twins.

As time wore on, the twins were confronted by the fairy king and he made them realize the error of their ways. They left the other fairies they had once collaborated with but, the leader would not accept this and labored to preside the two to join their cause one again. It became apparent that it would not work and he gave up, fully acknowledging the two as enemies." She finished.

"Okay," I said. "They just explained the creation of Noah, Innocence, and Akuma. Anyone else want to add to that list?"

"There's also demons in the forest's shadows." Cross said. We all tensed realizing what he was getting at and the darkness all around us.

"Neo?" One asked before lowering her voice to a mere whisper. "Are we in the forest? Are we with the shadows?"

"Unfortunately my dear, we are." She said

"I see you all have finally awakened." A voiced murmured.

We all turned to see the owner of that voice in a gazebo sitting on a chair across from the place One groggily sat up on a stone bench. "We're screwed." I said.

"On the contrary, dear bookman." The demon said smiling sweetly. Oh, we're really screwed. "I have just gathered you all for a short discussion. We should probably hurry up with the proceedings considering there is a distraught Two trying to make sure Alexis doesn't catch wind of he and One's little secret." He pointed to himself which made One make something foreign emerge from her mouth as she turned away.
