I need you...

It was the first day back at school , a day that Katie dreaded because it meant that Max and Charlie would be fighting over her again , it was getting boring and she just started ignoring it . 'Beep beep beep' the sound of Katie's alarm coming from her phone woke her up , she rubbed her eyes and slowly got out of bed reluctant to go to school . She walked over to her on-suit bathroom and started brushing her teeth , sighing as she looked in the mirror seeing how messy her brown medium-length hair was and seeing the mascara smudged under her eyes from last night which she forgot to take off . She washed her face , removing the remains of makeup still on her face and quickly gets in the shower .

"KATIE!!! You've got 10 minutes to get ready before we go to school" her sister shouted from downstairs , waiting for her . Her sister , Emily is a little bit shorter than Katie , she's got the same hair and eyes as her sister , her eyes a light blue colour and her hair a dark brown .

"I'll try to hurry , sorry sis" Katie shouts back , rushing to get ready she runs over to her wardrobe and pulls out a pair of jeans along with a pink polo , she puts her black vans on , gets her bag and runs downstairs . Katie's friend , Namitha is sat outside in her car , she picks both Katie and Emily up every day for school , as soon as Katie sees Namitha she walks a little faster and gets into the passenger seat

"hey , you do anything exciting over the holidays?" Katie asks cheerfully while putting her seatbelt on

"no , nothing much you ?" Namitha replies , Katie shakes her head and answers back with a no. Namitha starts driving and the whole time in the car on the way to school there's just silence , nobody saying anything. Namitha parks her car and as soon as Katie gets out of the car , there's Charlie , asking Katie how the holidays was for her .She smiles

"I'm sorry but I've got to go , talk later?" Katie asks . Charlie and Katie have known each other for a long time now , since they we're babies so they're close to each other , like brother and sister . Katie and Namitha start walking through the school to their lockers , almost at the same time they both unlock their locker and get the books they need for the day . They arrive five minutes late to maths , the first lesson of the day . "We're sorry , we lost track of time" they say simultaneously as they walk over to their seats at the other side of the room .

At the end of the school at about 3:00pm she sees Max running up to her out of the corner of her eye , she hasn't seen him all day which is rare , Katie turns around and waits for Max to catch up with her

"Hey" he says , panting a bit "I was just wondering if you wanted to come back to my house tomorrow ?" He asks , smiling

"Sure , I'll come straight after school if that's alright" Katie says smiling back at him

"Yea that's fine , I... I guess I'll see you tomorrow then , bye" he says and walks towards the school gates , walking home .

"Hey mum , we're home" Emily shouts as she walks into the house , dropping her bag next to Katie's at the bottom of the stairs . They both walk into the kitchen and see their mum cooking dinner , she turns around and looks at them both.

"Oh hi , I'm making lasagne for dinner , I hope that's okay" they both nod as they sit down at the table

"So mum ... Max asked me to go to his house tomorrow straight after school , is it alright if I go ?" Katie says , taking her phone out of her pocket

"Sure darling , make sure you're home by at least 9:00pm though , could you go get your dad and tell him that dinner is ready" she says , putting food on four plates.

Five minutes later Katie and her dad walk into the dining room , sitting down to eat , once they're all finished Katie texts max , telling him that she'll defiantly be coming over tomorrow . Katie goes upstairs to her bedroom , laying on her bed and going on her laptop to go on YouTube , it quickly turns into midnight , she looks at the time and goes downstairs to get a drink before walking back upstairs , getting dressed into her pyjamas and removing her makeup . Katie slowly falls asleep but not long after gets woke up by the popular song 'what makes you beautiful' blasting from her phone .

Katie sits up , turns her lamp on and looks at the caller ID , seeing Max's name across the screen , she picks it up and quietly answer with a hello .

"Hey Katie , I just wanted to talk to you for a bit , I'm sorry did I wake you up?" He asks , Katie nods her head but realises he can't see her

"Yea , you did but it's fine , what did you want to talk about? "

"Anything really , I just missed you , I needed to hear your voice" . Katie smiles , her cheeks turning a rosy red colour with a big smile on her face

"Awh , thanks. We can talk about anything you want" Katie says after a couple of minutes . An hour goes by and Katie and Max are still discussing what to talk about , a couple more hours later , 3:00am , Katie yawns

"Max , I'm going to go to sleep now , I'm really tired and I don't want to be falling asleep tomorrow in class" she says as she lays back on her bed

"Oh okay , see you tomorrow then Kit Kat "

"Bye Max" Katie replies then hangs up placing her phone back on her bedside desk , charging it for tomorrow at school . She falls asleep quite quickly seen as she's really tired .
