Summer. I love summer, no school, "warm" days and spending all my time with my 3 best friends. Jake, Embry and Quil.

We had one last week of freedom before the school year started up. Me, Jake and Quil we're starting our sophomore year and Embry was starting his junior.

So we were spending our time driving around the reservation, singing along to any song that came on the radio.

"That's the last time I EVER offer to get you pigs food! I'm out $50 now!" I complain looking at my now almost empty wallet.

"You said that the last time." Embry shrugged, popping another french-fry in his mouth while keeping one hand on the steering wheel.

"Didn't expect you guys to order everything on the freaking menu." I snapped while grabbing my milkshake from the cup holder.

"We're growing boys, Bailey! We need our food!" Quil chipped in.

"Sure, keeping eating like this and you'll all be on 'My 600 pound life'." I replied rolling my eyes.

Both Embry and Quil burst out laughing but Jake stayed quiet. He's been quiet almost the entire ride, now that I think about it.

"You good Jake?" I asked learning forward from the back seat.

Jake jumped a bit like he was just snapped out of a trance.

"Oh yeah, just thinking." Jake replied looking out the window.

"Yeah thinking about Bella." Embry teased.

Jake snapped his head towards Embry and gave him a "soft" punch to the arm.

"Hey, hey, hey. Let's not harm our chauffeur!" I said leaning back into my seat while Quil snickered at my comment.

Embry just looked up in the rear view mirror and rolled his eyes.

"So why are you thinking about this Bella chick?" I asked in a bored tone.

"She's coming back to Forks! Me and her use to make mud pies together... and I'm fixing up a truck for her!" Jake almost squealed.

Me and Quil started making fake gaging noises in the back seat. Jake just turned around in the front seat and sent us death glares.

"Aww does Jakey-wakey have a little crushy-wushey?" I asked in a baby voice. Embry an Quil both started to laugh.

"N-No! She's just a good friend!" Jake snapped.

"A friend you haven't seen in what, 10 years?" Quil asked still laughing a bit.

"She'll remember me just fine." Jake said glaring at Quil.

"$5 says she doesn't." I said with a smirk.

"You're on Roberts." Embry said making eye contact with me through the rear view mirror.

Jake just huffed and turned back to looking out the window, while the rest of us laughed at him.

God I loved these guys. I truly did... but who knew it would all far apart with a blink of an eye.
