(Baileys house) (But the driveway is gravel instead)
Once Bella dropped me off I headed straight to my room not even bothering to have dinner.
I put on some comfy pajamas and laid down. Vampires, big wolves and whatever the fuck I was... could this day get any weirder?
I sighed and turned on my side, slowly falling asleep.
Jacobs POV~
"I have the right to tell her!" I yelled at Sam.
Sam just kept walking towards his house, "Sam! She already hates me enough! I need to explain everything!"
Sam stopped before entering his house, "Enough!" Sam alpha commanded. "You'll get to tell her, just not now. Telling her everything now will throw her into immediately danger."
I started to shake. Why does he get to decide what I can and cannot tell my imprint?
"Jacob. You will not tell Bailey or Bella." Sam alpha commanded.
I sighed and turn around running off. Fine I won't tell her but that won't stop me from seeing her.
Baileys POV~
Tap.
Tap.
TAP. TAP. TAP. TAP. TAP.
I jolted up and looked around. What the hell is that. I quickly got out of bed and look towards the glass door that was covered with a curtain that lead out to my small balcony. I came closer to the door but jumped back when the tapping started again. Then groaned in annoyance as the tapping got louder. Then I heard a voice I felt like I haven't heard in years.
"Psst, Bailey!"
I widened my eyes and quickly opened the door being met with a shirtless Jake. I looked him up and down, his once long hair was cut short and he had a tattoo on his shoulder.
Jake smiled warmly "Hey-"
I cut him off when I slammed the door in his face.
He's got some nerve."What- Hey! Bailey open the door." I heard Jake from the other side.
I leaned up against the door, "Go away!" I yelled back.
It was quiet for a moment before the door was pushed open with a force. I stumbled backwards as Jake pushed open the door with just one hand.
"What the hell!"
"Bailey... I'm so sorry." Jake said as he stepped closer to me.
I stepped back and crossed my arms, "For what? Ignoring me for 3 weeks? Breaking your promise? Joining Sam? Throwing away our friendship? You've got to be more specific, Black."
Jake winced at her cold tone, "For everything. I wish I could explain. But I literally can't." Jake sighed as he walked further into my bedroom. I made sure to keep my distance.
"Have you ever had a secret you couldn't tell anyone, one that wasn't yours to share? Well, that's what it's like for me. But worse. You have no idea how tight I'm bound." Jake finished by sitting down on my bed.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and walked closer to him. I placed my hand on the side of his cheek and I felt an electric shock. But it felt good, like it was meant to be there.
"I want to hate you."
Her words almost made Jacob break down. Did he really lose his imprint and best friend.
"But I can't. For some unknown reason I can't seem to hate you. I definitely don't trust you, but seeing you like this... I hate it. I hate what has happened to you..." I moved my hand to trace over the tattoo that was now on his shoulder, Jake let his head fall so it was resting on my stomach.
"I want my best friend back, but it's clear that won't happen."
Jake stood up and grabbed both of my hands. "Bailey... I will always be there for you. I will never let anything happen to you."
I glared at him and pulled my hands away, "Actions speak louder than words, Jacob."
Jacob sighed and ran a hand trough his now short hair, "Do... do you remember that day we walked down at La Plush? The story I told you and Bella?"
I crossed my arms and nodded my head, "Yeah. The one about your heritage and the cold ones."
"The stories, there-" Jake seemed to choke up as if he couldn't finish the sentence. He groaned and walked past me towards my desk. He looked down and saw my Quileute book. He picked it up and turned to me, "Just read this more carefully. Maybe you'll understand."
I walked over to him and took the book from him, "Jake... why won't you just tell me?"
"I told you Bailey! I can't."
I stared down at the book, I felt tears start to build up, "Just get out." I said quietly.
"Bailey-"
"GET OUT!" I yelled finally letting tears fall.
Jakes face dropped, he hated himself for making her cry. He dropped his head and walked out the glass door.
I screamed in frustration and chucked the book across the room. I threw myself back onto my bed and let the silent tears roll down my cheeks.
AN- Just saying if someone blew me off for a month I'd be PISSED. Also we're getting closer to reviling what Bailey is!
