Parting Ways

Looking at her slowly walking away
The last time she would see her
She wished it wasn't the day
She watched her love vanish into air
Nothing left but a broken heart and despair
She wouldn't see her anymore and she knew that
Alone in her house, alone she sat
Thinking of her was all she could do
She had wished that is was too good to be true
Her last regret, her final fail
Was to never let the rest of their friendship sail
Her only wish to see her once more
The ache in her heart let out a mighty roar
She burst into tears as the droplets fell,
She was hurting more than she should but nobody could tell
The only thing that was left with her
The only medicine, her only cure
A picture hung on the wall of both of the girls
She had felt her heart once more get a hurting swirl
She was weak
And she knew that
She knew she had to move on but she couldn't
She won't and she wouldn't
She'll have her in her heart til the end of her days
Until her final breath comes, until her soul fades
The memories they had together,
She will always remember and cherish forever
