Carol Danvers's older sister

chapter one

Vanessa's point of view
I woke up to feel the covers being pulled off of me and see Yon Rogg staring at me. I pulled my pillow over my face so Yon Rogg can't see my eyes since they were red from last night. I was falling asleep when I suddenly saw sun light hitting my eyes. I opened my eyes and saw Yon Rogg looking out the window with my pillow in his hand. " You know it doesnt hurt to wake up early you know Vanessa." I heard this and stared at him feeling tears building up in my eyes.
" Yeah I know it doesn't hurt but I didn't sleep that well last night. " I said this and I saw Yon Rogg look at me and his eyes widened. I shrank back when he got closer to my face. I closed my eyes when I felt his fingers on my face.
" You were having that nightmare again weren't you?" I heard Yon Rogg saying this and all I could do was nod. I open my eyes to see him staring at the scar that I have on my face. When I felt his fingers on the scar I flinched back and let a tear slip. I could feel myself full on crying right now and I could feel my self shaking. I was full on crying and I suddenly felt a pair of arms around me and I froze. I looked up to see Yon Rogg hugging me tight and not letting me go and I finally felt safe on these kinds of days. After I calmed down Yon Rogg turned around so I could change and we went on the train to the building that has intelligence in it. After I talked to intelligence I went towards the ship that we have for missions. I was leaning against a piller waiting for Yon Rogg to get here. I was staring at my scar that I had on my arm until I heard my voice being called and saw that we were going to Planet C-53.
" Vanessa were you even paying attention? " I looked at Yon Rogg and shook my head and I heard a lot of 'of course you weren't'. " So here is the plan we are going to Planet C-53 and catching a girl named Carol Danvers." I heard this and I started to shake both in anger and in fear. Everyone saw me shaking and knew I didn't like going to that Planet. After I was done shaking and forced to go with them we arrived at planet C-53 and we started looking for Carol. I was with Yon Rogg protecting his back when I heard him talking to someone. I turned around to see my little sister Carol Danvers. " Carol?" I said this with my voice shaking.
" Hannah?" We both stared at each other and than ran to each other and hugged. While Carol and I were hugging I could feel eyes staring at Carol and I. After a while we let go of each other and I looked at my team and gave them I will explain later look. After I gave them that look I looked at ground and feel something was wrong. After this feeling appeared I heard something in the trees nearby and summoned my sword and stood in my fighting position. After everyone found that I could feel and hear something they stood on their ground. I heard something in the bushes and tightened my grip on my sword. I sensed that something was coming closer so I closed the gap between my legs and focused to try and find the figure that the noise is coming from. I found where the noise was coming from and froze. I started to shake really bad that I lost all focus on fighting. I fell on the floor and started to shake even more. I was on the ground until I could feel a pair of arms lifting me up and carrying me. When I looked up I saw Yon Rogg carrying me. When I saw him I tried to focus on something that makes me happy. I was calming down when I heard a scream and looked up. When I looked up I saw Carol on the ground bleeding in the leg. I jumped from Yon Rogg's grasp and ran. I was running I heard Yon Rogg yelling my name and telling me to come back. I ignored him and ran for Carol. When I got to Carol I heard someone loading a gun and I picked her up and ran back. When I was running out could hear bullets flying around me and trying to hit me. I could hear Carol grunting and I saw that she got hit by a bullet. I saw that she was bleeding and she needs medical attention right away. I saw this and started to angry and took my bracelet and put it on Carol. After I put my bracelet on Carol I started to run faster. I was running and then I felt a bullet hit me in the arm. When I felt the bullet I started to run faster until I felt someone take Carol and someone else picked me up off the ground. I looked up to see Yon Rogg carrying me and Minn-Erva carrying Carol. I looked at Carol and saw that she was about to pass out. I started to shake with anger and tried to get off but I got stopped by a firm and strong hand. I didn't look up because I knew we were by the ship and I was on the ground and Yon Rogg has his hand on my wrist. Without saying a word I nodded and Yon Rogg dragged me on board. When we got on board and in the air I looked up and saw how Yon Rogg was really angry.
" VANESSA WHAT WERE YOU THINKING YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HURT OR WORSE KILLED!" I flinched back when Yon Rogg yelled at me and I looked at him and my eyes started to tear up. I started shaking then I could feel that I couldn't breathe that well. I started to hyperventilate and then all I could hear and see is Yon Rogg telling me something and had concern in his eyes, and then it was all black.
