"But Mom, it's not fair!" I can't help but cry out in frustration.

"Well, Amelia, grow the fuck up. Life isn't fair. You've known about this move for, hmmmm, I don't know six fucking months!"

I can't believe Mom just went off like that. I wasn't being serious.

I simply nod my head in agreement and apologize, "I'm sorry Mom, you were right. I wasn't thinking properly."

"It's fine, just remember to box up the rest of your things, we are officially out of this place in six days."

"Yes ma'am"

-----------------------------------------------------------

Goodbye home, I'll miss you so much.

"Honey this will be a great new start for you." Mom says as she grips the steering wheel.

"I hope so, I'm just going to miss Shane, Jessa and Muntaha so much."

As I admit this I can't help but choke up. They called us the quads because we were so close and now I was moving from sunny California to Rhode Island. Literally who lives in Rhode Island?! No one.

"Amelia, you will meet other friends"

"I don't want other friends, I want to be home!"

"Enough with that shit Amelia Naeun Park, I will literally flip the fuck out if you pull that again. We're moving to Rhode Island! WE'RE IN THE U-HAUL FOR GOODNESS SAKE!"

"I'm sorry Mom, it's just hard leaving everything and everyone behind"

"Don't you think it's hard for me too Amelia?" Mom pauses and looks at me with a pained expression. "I don't want to move either but money's tight and we need the money, okay?"

"Yes Mom"

Way to make me feel bad Mom.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"Mom, no offense, but what is this house? Our old house was so much nicer."

"I know sweetie, but the economy is down and this is all I could afford"

I can't help but look at the small home in the beat up neighborhood. I looked over at the house across from ours and was schocked to see a broken window standing proudly. No one had even boarded it up.

I hesitated for a second before I lept out of the U-Haul while Mom unlocked our front door.

The door creaked open loudly and jumped back.

"Hahahahaahah omg, honey your face was priceless," Mom said while cracking up.

"Whatever" I huffed.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The house itself wasn't too bad. I had my own room and that was all I needed besides Wi-Fi.

I laid on the floor organizing my boxes when Mom knocked on my door.

"Amelia, remember, you start school tomorrow, but we need to wake up at 5:30 so I can make sure with the school that you have all your proper documents."

"Sounds like a plan Mom."

Someone kill me now please. I do not want to go to some stupid Rhode Island High School. I don't want to make nee friends. I want my life back.
