Sam's POV:

Did he just say what I thought he said?

"Sam come up here." Colby whispered.

I got up and climbed up the ladder and sat on the top rung. Hi how are you? I typed and sent.

"Good. Wanna go out on a walk?" He asked quietly.

I climbed back down and grabbed my jacket. I heard him start to climb down so I handed him his shoes and put mine on. We stepped out into the dim moonlight and Colby grabbed my wrist pulling me to a path that lead to the lake. He was using his phone flashlight to see so we wouldn't trip. "Sam." He said.
"Yeah Colby?"
"Did you see the abandoned mansion on the way here?" He asked.
"Yeah. What about it?"
"We're going there now..." He said.
"Ok, but why?" I asked concerned.
"You'll see." He replied.
"Ok?..... Colby?" I said trying to get his attention.
"Hmmm?" He asked.
"Can we sit for a sec?" I asked panting. We were walking fast to get to the path before the main leader saw us. He stopped and we sat on a rock that was on the side of the path. When I was able to breathe normally I turned on my phone flashlight, grabbed Colby's hand lacing our fingers together and started walking down the path some more. We reached the lake and I sat down on the dirt. Colby sat facing me. I looked down at my leg zoning out.

Colby's POV:

Sam was staring at his leg so I reached out and gently grabbed his chin pushing it up so he was looking at me. He flinched and stiffened before slowly melting into my hand. I scooted closer to him placing my other hand on his knee. "Je t'aime." I said softly. He smirked. I know a little bit of French so I said "I love you"  to see how he would react. He smiled. "C'mon let's walk around the lake to the mansion." I said standing up. I pulled Sam up. " Do you want a piggie-back ride?" I asked seeing him nod in response. I could tell he was getting tired it was 10:30 ish so that makes sense. He hopped up and I asked him to put one of my earbuds in my ear and one I his. I played my "French" playlist. He rested his head on my shoulder and loosely wrapped his arms around my neck. I started walking and soon heard him softly snoring...

Half an hour later:

I finally got to the other side of the lake. I bounced Sam to wake him up. He didn't.... "Sam. Sam. Sam." I said gradually getting more worried. I walked to the base of a hill and slowly crouched leaning back to gently lay Sam down on the grass. I turned around and lightly shook him awake. He groaned "what?" groggily. I sighed in relief. "Baby, we're at the abandoned mansion." I said.  He slowly sat up and smiled at me. "okay love." I hoisted Sam up so we could walk up the hill, but he almost fell over so I grabbed his waist to stabilize him. Once he got his balance we started walking.

Finally in the mansion we sat down on one of the couches that had a white cloth on it. I pulled out my phone and told Sam to pull out his phone. He pulled out his phone then I leaned over and kissed Sam's cheek, stood up and ran up the stairs to the next floor. I kept running hearing Sam's feet pounding on the worn floor behind me. All of a sudden I hear Sam screaming my name. I turn to see him starting to fall. I blink and all of a sudden I have his hand and pull him up to sit next to me.
