Sabrina's POV:

The streetlights flickered on and off as I trudged through the streets. I didn't even walk that far but I was still breathing hard. My breath shimmered as I walked; breathing in from my nose and out though my mouth. The street seemed to extend longer and farther than that of what I remembered the more I walked.

I was three streets down from my own house. The streets are all too familiar. I haven't been back here in what seemed like a year or two.

A shiver was sent down my spine as I located the place that "they" ,as in the people that had something to do with drugs and perhaps my dad, met. The street was dark because the streetlights were busted out and there was little movement. The whistling wind lifted some old posters attached to the rotten wood street poles.

I continued to walk, looking out of my perefrial vision from time to time and placed my feet carefully on the sidewalk. Crack!  I whipped my head around to see if someone was behind me but nothing. I whipped my head  back around and continued to walk down the familiar old street. I then saw something shift in the corner of my eye. I looked to my left and saw a figure standing in front of an old building. The old building was tall, dark brown, and it looked abanded. I looked long and hard at the figure trying to see if they looked familiar. I brought my body behind another old building to remain unseen by the figure. My breath dragged on as I stood. The odd figure that seemed to be a man knocked on the door. The door creeked open and another figure came out of the building. He looked all too familiar; the way that he stood, the way that he had his hand placed on his stomach with intwined fingers. The two figures started speaking.

"What did you find out?" The familiar figure asked.

"She is slowly getting better. She still has a sickness." The odd figure stated and brought his head down.

"Did you get my laptop back?" It then hit me. I just didn't understand why. Why would my father fake his death to stay in this drug group? I dont understand. I thought my father loved me. If he did why did he leave me for this group? My dad was asking about me. He still cares but I want to know why he decided to just chose them over me.

The wind whistled in my ear causing my shirt to cling to my back. I burst out of my thought to pay attention to the two figures.

"Sir I couldnt get your laptop back." One said. It seemed like the figure who i figured was my father was the leader of their group. A shiver went down the back of my spine as that thought flowed through my mind.  "She has it in her hospital room, when I searched your house I did not find anything and I went to her Hospital room in the middle of the night and found it but she was laying right on top of it." thats right I keep it protect- wait did that guy just say he was in my hospital room!? The unfamiliar figure shifted as if he was uncomfortable under the man who seemed to be my father.

"I understand. I really need it though. We need to think of a good plan to get it out of my daughters custody." I whimpered realizing that the only thing I really had in my dad's memory was about to be taken away from me. Then again if my dad isnt really dead then there will be more stuff of his that I could have but the thing is he isnt fake dead so would it still be the same or not really? I think I just confused myself. I just know that I want that laptop and I need to figure out a way to keep it.

The guys head shot in my direction. I didnt think that i whimpered that loud. Opps. The street lamp hit his face perfectly. My world shifted as I saw his face. It was my father. My dead father that is. I was for sure now. I ducked as his head shot my way. I prayed he didnt actually see me behind this building. I tried to hold my breath the best I could but it was hard. "What sir?" The person talking to my father said as he glanced in my direction and tried to find what my father was looking at but no such luck I'm guessing because the guy decided time was up and walked into the building. I sighed greatfully that my father didnt see me as he followed the unknown figure inside the building.

I crept up to the door of the abandoned building. The light flickered infront of the door. I looked around before i grabbed the door handle. Slowly I opened the door less then an inch. I Peaked my eye in the door way.

OH MY GOD!
