Shawn's POV:

I pulled up to the hospital after school and that was what Sabrina requested. I'm not quite sure why I am here she told me that we needed to talk about Melissa whatever this has to do with. I'm not sure what's going to happen. Maybe Gabi was right; something bad is gonna happen today.

Before I walked into Sabrina's room, I wiped my hands off on my pants because I was getting just a little nervous, alright really nervous. I didn't know how this was gonna go or what was going to happen. I promised Gabi that I would meet her at her house after to fill her in with all the details.

I slipped my hand around the cold metal of the door handle, took a deep breath to recompose myself, and turned the handle, making a creak eerily emit from the door as I opened it.

"Hey..." I said as I walked in and saw Sabrina sitting there watching TV but obviously on edge. Her eyes were really fidgety and a little bloodshot. Had she been...crying? Or was it from the drugs that they used on her to keep her cancer under control? Was it that bad?

"Hey. Come on in and have a seat." I awkwardly walked over to the chair she pointed at and sat with my legs spread apart and I leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees and my face on my hands.

"Now what did you need to talk to me about?" I already knew the answer I just wanted to start the conversation at least.

"Melissa." She paused and picked at her nails. "Have the cops been to see you lately?"

"Yeah. How did you find out?" The only person that I told was Gabi, and that's only because she was there with me. I would have told her eventually, but I just didn't want anyone else to get dragged into this because it's Sabrina's and my problem. The fewer people that know the better.

"They have talked to me as well but they haven't really talked to me about Melissa yet." She flicked her gaze to mine before she focused back onto her fingers.

"What are you saying?" I asked slowly, as if I was afraid of the answer. In theory, I kind of am. The wound of Melissa's death was just only starting to close, thanks to Gabi, and now they just had to rip me open again and let it all come one once more.

"They came in here to talk to me about my dad. They think he was murdered and the murderer is still out there and they are trying to find them. The thing is, a couple times I came home back when she still went to our school and found her in my dad's study room. They would chat. I never really heard anything but I always wondered. I think it has something to do with them both being killed and I don't know what it was." She ducked her head down and scratched her arm absent-mindedly.

"Do you really think your dad or Melissa would do anything like that? Something that would get them killed?" I asked, sitting back in confusion.

"I'm not entirely sure but it would explain their death." She took a deep breath.

"So what do you think it was?" I rested my arms on the arm rests that came with the chair.

Sabrina shrugged. "I'm not sure but my guess is it's something to do with drugs."

"Drugs!?" I burst forward but remained in the chair.

"My thought is my dad blackmailed Melissa into it. I'm not sure what he blackmailed her with, but I think somehow he did. I don't think Melissa was a bad person. I mean, not before she met my dad."

"You think that's why she moved away fast because once your dad died she moved. Maybe she knew!" I had an eurika.

"Yes that's what I'm trying to say." She looked at me incrediously.
