History was so boring today. Not that it's unusual. Everyone was dressed in grey, black, or white. It was silent, and not in a good way. Whenever it's silent I hear a strange beeping in my head that goes on and on and on and on. You could here the tick tock of the clock. I was falling asleep until a bright, yellow flash moved across the boring room. I opened my eyes wide. I wondered if I was dreaming. The room suddenly felt less boring because of the cute, beautiful, neon yellow, new girl who just made the room a whole lot brighter.
"So your name is Hope, right?" I was flabbergasted. Why was she, the new girl with a bright personality talking to me? And in a nice way! "Yeah. How do you know my name?" I quietly said. "Molly told me." She responded, "And she also told me about the incident in first grade. And how everyone hates you. Sorry about saying that. But I just don't understand. That little event was just a silly misunderstanding. And you seem perfectly nice. My name's Emmy. May I please sit here?" She gestured to the lunch table seat next to me. I nodded and she talked to ME the whole lunch period.
