The first wattpad novel I will review is Mr. Popular And I (MPAI) from TheFreakOfFreaks. The girl who wrote this story is from England, now you can imagine the characters with a super cool British accent (you are welcome) and she is one of the coolest persons I have kind-of-met on the internet. I have chosen to review MPAI first because it was the very first novel I stumbled across when I joined wattpad and it instantly became my favourite.

The story is about a girl called Lea Wilson whose house was destroyed by … (I won´t tell, you´ll have to read it wuahaha) and so she has to stay in house of the Oh so called River Parker. The interesting thing (not that the rest of the plot isn´t interesting, IT IS! I´m just saying that this is the core of the whole novel) is that Lea is the typical good girl. The one who gets, if not the best, at least good grades; she is shy, kind and doesn´t really like to be on spotlight. On the other hand, River is part of the most popular group of boys at school. And so now they have to live together for god-knows how long, how will they cope with each other?!

There are many different reasons why I enjoyed reading this novel. Firstly, because it is properly written, not only does it has good grammar but the whole thing has a coherent development (something that, I will dare to say, is lacking in many novels written in this kind of platforms) I particularly like this because you can read the novel without being taken aback by sudden mood swings from the characters or being bombed by love scenes or fight scenes that come out of the blue. In this novel everything happens for a reason and that´s the way it is in really good, worth-reading novels.

Another thing I love about this novel is the plot twists. I love plot twists because they never fail in leaving me at the edge of my seat, literally (pun much? Too soon?); and!!! At the beginning of the book/ kind-of-middle you are left thinking “Who will she choose?!” which in this case was cool but in general I passionately HATE love triangles, this one didn´t last too long as in other novels so maybe that´s why I for once could enjoy a love triangle, but who knows. I also love the characters; they are all so … real. They are not monodimensional; on the contrary, they are as complicated as any of us. There is this girl, her name is Georgia Blakeman; most of the time I absolutely hated her, but then there was this fraction of second (more like half of a chapter) when all I wanted was to hug this girl and tell her everything was going to be okay.

I will give MPAI five stars, out of five of course, because it was heartbreaking and adorable, really mature as well. I think it is as good as any john green´s book (see how much I loved MPAI?). Maybe the only thing I didn´t like was a part of the book in which they are at school having English class and then the teacher assigns them a homework about writing a poem and you see lea kind of  makes lot of emphasis on this so you end up thinking “okay, maybe a certain X will end up with a certain Y and their poems will be about each other and everything will be so romantic and assdfghjkl” but as I read the story they never mentioned it again, NEVER; remember what I told you about novels not being coherent or constant with their plot? This is what I meant; what´s the point in mentioning something a lot or making a certain emphasis on it if you are not going to use it? That’s the ONLY thing I didn´t like but I swear guys, you should totally check it out, MPAI is one of the best novels I´ve read here.
