The next morning I woke up in Tom's arms. His head was lying on the side of mine. His cheek pressed against mine. I lie there debating on waking him up and telling him to leave, but I felt awkward and was not prepared to have the "morning after" conversation. If that's even a thing.

Finally I made the decision to move from underneath him. Luckily, my movements woke Tom awake. He jumped up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. I watched silently as he composed himself.

He stretched out and yawned. "Mornin', lover."

I scoffed, "don't call me that."

We sat for another few long, lingering silence. The atmosphere not entirely out of place, but definitely off in some way. I didn't want to be rude and kick him out, but having him lying naked in my messy bed was unorthodox. Besides, I have to admit it to myself; his soft, tan skin gleamed in the morning light captured my attention.

"Um, I should get started with my—," I started.

"Yeah, I should go," he interrupted as he moved to the edge of my fitted sheet while holding the top sheet over his naked half. "Have you seen my clothes?"

Hopefully he didn't notice my blushing as I picked up his pants from my armchair in the corner of the room. I handed his pants over to his waiting hand and I turned around; partly out of embarrassment of seeing him naked in the daylight and partly to pick up the remaining of his clothing.

"No need to be shy now," he smirked, standing to finish putting on his jeans. "There's nothing new to see unless you wanted to get a better view in better lighting."

I scoffed and handed him his shirt. "No need to be cocky. I think the neighbors prefer not to see a naked man so early in the morning."

"Baby, please, everybody would love to see this naked man in the morning," he replied. "You did."

"Uh, not even in your fantasies," I said, walking out of my bedroom with Tom following not that far behind. We walk in silence. I lead him back down the stairs, through the kitchen, and out the back door from once he came. "Well, thanks, I guess."

He chuckled and leaned towards me through the doorway. "I'm serious about us spending more time together, neighbor."

His face draws nearer and nearer towards mine. His eyes looking in my eyes and glancing down at my lips. He bites his as he scans my face with this sexual desire in his stare. He lifts my chin upwards, almost pecking my lips until I broke contact and pulled my face away. "I'll see you around, Tom."

He backs away and looks me up and down once more before turning away. "Bye, Jayden."

And that was the end of my one-night stand with Tom, the boy next door. I didn't want to be weird and watch him as he left or even to see if he looked back to see if I was watching him. And I closed the door.

That whole day I went amongst my business. My usual Saturday schedule; my chores around the house, my lunch, and the homework I never finished last night. I didn't think about Tom or the events that transpired in my own bed. Sadly, I couldn't help but think about his touch or yearn for more due to lack thereof. I thought about texting him and asking to take him up on his offer, but I resisted.

When it was dinner time, I cooked myself a small homemade meal. I sat down to eat when I heard a knock on my backdoor. I rose from my seat and pulled back the curtain. Standing under the florescent back-porch light is Tom with a bottle of something.

"Okay so I was just chilling at home alone, and I was supposed to share this whole bottle of vodka with my friends; but plans fell through," he whined. "And I was—"
