Fix You (Ereri)

Chapter Two

Levi awoke to the sound of a scream. He bolted up.

Eren was sitting upright in the dimly lit room. His hair was a mess, cheeks were stained, eyes puffy, and he was shaking badly. He expression was an indescribable mix of horror and hate for himself. It was pitiful. His breaths were shallow and panicked.

Levi quickly got out of bed and slowly approached him.

"Eren," He said softly. Eren looked away and closed his eyes tightly. Levi crouched down and place his hand gently on Eren's. Eren flinched, but when Levi went to take his hand away, he quickly took Levi's hand back with his own shaking one. A pathetic whimper was hear as Eren tried to muffle his sobs.

Levi rubbed Eren's hand gently, not sure how to comfort him.

Eren hug his head in shame, holding Levi's hand tighter.

"I killed you," He whispered, barely autible.

"It was a dream, Eren."

"But I will." Eren replied, just as quiet.

"No, you won't. I trust you."

"I'm a monster." His voice cracked.

Levi paused for a moment. "No, you have an ability."

Eren was even quieter than before, Levi wasn't sure if he heard him correctly. "You hate me." He started crying.

"No." was Levi's instant reply.

Eren pulled his hand away from Levi's and brought his knees to his chest. Levi sat on the couch next to him and put and arm hesitantly around Eren. When that seemed okay he gently pulled Eren into his lap. Eren may not have been as short as the Corportal, but he was definately smaller. He couldn't have weighed more than 90 pounds. Eren curled himself into Levi.

How could he not have seen this? Eren was supposed to be his responsiblity goddammit!

Eren's death grip on Levi combined with the awkward position was extremely uncomfortable.After a while it became unbareable. He shifted, but to no previl, it didn't help. He sighed and hooked an arm under Eren's legs and one under his shoulder blades. He lifted Eren slowly.

Eren gasped, startled. He threw his arms around Levi's neck to keep from falling.

Levi carried him over to the bed and set him down.

"You speak a word of this to anyone and you're dead," Levi said quietly as he slid in next to Eren.

Eren nodded and laid his head against the other's chest. Levi held his trembling body. A few small whimpers escaped from Eren.

Levi put a small hand on the back of Eren's head and one on his back. He stroked the boy's hair as he rubbed light circles into his back.

Not long afterwards, Eren stopped trembling. He nuzzles LEvi's neck again, wiping salty tears against him. Levi felt a faint blush come to his cheeks. Eren let's out a pitiful sigh as Levi hold him tighter...
