I went into the kitchen and spoke to Head Chef. He whipped me up a turkey club and fries. I just wanted something simple just in case we went out later on.
"My dear, we were told to leave out in a few mins, so they can inspect the building."
I looked at him confused as hell! I don't remember Eli saying anything about that. He told me to basically relax until he comes back down.
"I'm not sure who gave y'all those directions, but I came in with Eli. He never mentioned anything about a potential security inspection," I said while putting on my thinking face.
"I did."

I turned around to see Diego come through the back door. My face immediately became stone cold. If he tries any funny business with me, it will be his death wish.
Everyone scurried out of the kitchen as he walked up on me. I took a few step back as he got even closer. At this point, my back pressed up against the wall and his lips were one peck away from mine.
"I'm think that you might wanna go help Eli because he's in danger," he said while dragging his hand against my face.
"I know you don't like him, but why not say what's going on? What do you get if something happens?"
Diego placed a hand under his chin in deep thought. A smirk appeared as his eyes reverted back to mine.
"Well, I would get his share of the company and possibly the girl of his dreams if I'm lucky."
His finger twirled into my hair as I appeared to be stuck. Why must I always get put in these awkward situations?
He leaned even closer to whisper in my ear.
"You should get out of here and let the big boys handle it. Eli is currently having a run-in with Drea and we all know that's not gonna end pretty."
I reached behind my back and pulled out my 9mm to point it at Diego's chest. He steadily backed down with his hands up.
"Damn, who would've thought that you were such a keeper. I'm even more intrigued by such a ballsy woman."
