Paige was hanging out with Bella Turner the whole day, along with some other girls. I don't know why Paige was there. For some reason she had some unresolved issues going on with the group she usually hung with.

They were just walking around, chatting. Paige was actually bored to the verge of death. But Bella Turner was pretty popular, and Paige was... well Paige. She couldn't pass up an opportunity to hang out with her.

They ran into Jo Hellics, if she wasn't wearing the school skirt and didn't have long hair, her broad shoulders and deep voice could full you into thinking she was a dude.

She started doing some random bitching...

"Oi you know Laura White? Dumb bitch is spreading rumours about me being lesso. Would you believe that crap?" Jo's accent was scummy.

She lived in a ratchet part of town, where you had to put five locks on your doors and windows to protect yourself from stoners and deros. Not denying that Jo had never got high or drunk before.

"Oh my god, Laura's so retarded. Are you gonna do something about it?" Bella Turner wailed.

"Yeah of course, look she's over there near the oval now. Let's go over."

At first the other girls hesitated, then they slowly strolled behind. They approached the benches near the oval where Laura and her army of idiots were sitting.

"Oi what the hell? Why would you think you could talk smack about me like?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Laura smirked, not looking intimidated by Jo's height at all.

Jo shoved Laura's shoulder and she stumbled back hitting her hip against the table. And with one shove the entire school ran over, huddling to see the action. Paige had a front row spot. Over the ocean of people huddling to see the fight someone jumped up. He couldn't see what was going on over the crowd of people. So he jumped, like a playful puppy and jumped again and again and again. Smiling with every hop.

Paige was so absorbed in this stranger's happiness that she completely forgot about the fight.

People started walking away as teachers came over to tell everyone to leave. Paige looked back and saw Bella a few feet away talking to the stranger.

As Paige turned around her long blonde hair twirled in the wind and fell over her right shoulder.

"Woah," the stranger stepped back.

"What?" Paige giggled and approached Bella and the strange guy she was with.

"You look like Raya Kahn," he came closer.

"The school whore?" Paige raised her brow looking both confused and offended at the same time.

"It must be the cute face," she smiled.

"Oh," Paige scraped her long bangs behind her ears. "Thank you."

She went really red, or at least it felt that way.

Until lunch finished the stranger followed the group around not saying much, just listening, and smiling at Paige.

The bell rang and he still followed the group to class, Bella and him gave each other a hug and he left.

"Who was that? Is he your boyfriend?"

Cole smirked in his usual dicky way.

"No, just a friend," Bella smiled and sat down next to him.

"Good, because he looked like the biggest faggot,"

"Yeah," Bella smiled and looked out the window. Paige didn't know what to think she just sat there, thinking about how cheerful that stranger was.
