About 2 months had past. Most of year 9 was at camp. Paige's parents didn't have enough money to send her off with most of her friends.
Her mum had just dropped her off at the gate near the oval. Sitting under a tree was some pretty rough looking guys. She didn't notice them, she was too focused on handing in money to the office for an excursion.
"Hey!" A familiar voice hollered out, "remember me?"
Paige turned to see a tall tan looking boy with beautiful goldy brown hair.
He looked sort of familiar.
"I'm Bella's friend," he reminded.
"Oh yeah... Hi," she smiled looking a little less confused. She started to carry on walking. Then he stopped her with his smooth voice.
"Do I get a hug?" He smiled like a 10 year old boy, trying to be convincing enough to get a cookie.
'What the hell? I hardly know you,' she thought. For some reason she walked over to give him a hug anyway, as if some gravitational force was pulling her towards him. His hug was warm. It felt like a soft blanket was rapped around around. They both felt tension. It was strong.
She pulled away from the hug. She didn't say anything, she just walked away. 'Idiot. Paige you're such an idiot.' Thoughts echoed in her mind as butterflies infested her stomach.

It was now lunch. Everyone sat inside. It was too rainy and damp and cold.
"I'm going to the cafeteria, someone wanna come with me," Ella got up and pulled a dollar or two from her pocket.
"Sure," Paige helped herself up.
Together they walked outside making their way to the cafeteria on the other side of school.
"Hey.." a gentle voice said. The stranger.
"Uhh... Hi," Paige walked past and quickly made her way to the cafeteria with Ella pulling her along, "w-wait, what's your name?"
"Aaron"
Paige loved that name.
