Ember dashed through the rain as fast as they could, lugging their bag with them; a wave of relief washed over them as their best friend's home came into view. Desperately, they knocked on the door and rang the bell. "Ember! Quick! Come in, you're gonna get drenched! Not that you aren't already drenched..." Welcomed Celina as she dragged Ember in. Ember took off her coat and hung it up on one of the hooks. She hugged Celina and tears spilled from her eyes. "Thank you so much! Y-you already know the story... They wouldn't stop ridiculing me... They wouldn't stop... They kept saying I was a freak..." She sobbed and pulled away. Celina helped her to the kitchen table and pulled out a chair for her. The house was sweet and bright, it had nice cream walls and little décor pieces around the house. "It's okay, you're safe now. My parents know the situation and said you can stay for 4 days." Celina assured Ember softly. She sat next to Ember and put an arm around her shoulders. Ember rested her head on Celina's shoulder and sighed. "You're amazing, you know?" She said extremely grateful and thankful for such an amazing friend. "It's nothing, trust me. No one should have to go through that..." Replied Celina caringly. Ember nodded and they both went up to Celina's room and put Ember's things away. Her room was beautiful, with teal blue walls and a cute little wavy cat. They set up a mattress on the floor with some pillows and blankets for her and went back downstairs to their living room. Celina's parents waved at them and smiled. "Hello Ember! We hope everything gets better for you. You don't deserve all that. Don't worry, we are here for you if you need us!" Assured Celina's parents. "Thank you Mr and Mrs Horton, it means so much to me, I'm so grateful you guys are letting me stay here..." Thanked Ember truly grateful. She brushed her hands through her firery red hair and sat down with the Hortons and Celina sat next to her. They watched TV together and everything seemed fine for now. For now...
