Kageyama and Hinata

Part 1: Just starting out

  Walking home with a friend is always comforting. However walking home with your new boyfriend is a little more nerve racking heh...

Currently the situation for Kageyama and Hinata, both boys unsure of what to say, nervous to bump and accidentally touching the other. Both walking stiff.

Hinata hadn't taken his bike to school that day and instead accepted a ride his mother offered do to the rainy weather. She also offered to pick her son up from volleyball practice however Hinata declined since he didn't know when practice would be over that day.

Needless to say Hinata had nothing to fidget with in his nervousness so he played with the hem of his uniform jacket watching his feet as he walked next to his giant, scary looking  boyfriend or Kageyama known for being King of the court.

Although he hated being called king Hinata still loved to call him by that ridiculous nickname. To Kageyama it brought up painful memories but Hinata called the giant raven haired teen this name with another intention.

Hinata saw his boyfriend as HIS King. He respected Kageyama's dedication and overall obsession with volleyball that rivaled his own passion for the sport. This is one of the facts that caused Hinata to fall for his king. There were more contributing factors that lead Hinata to pursue a romantic relationship with Kageyama but those would remain safely tucked in his orange hair covered head, for him to ponder later, alone in his room.

"Hmph"

Hinata heard a huff come from his left where his boyfriend walked beside him. Kageyama looked off, he was looking at his feet as Hinata had been but with a Faraway stare and his lips in a thin line, eyebrows slightly furrowed with cream formed at the beginning of the bridge of Kageyama's nose.

Hinata thought to himself as he continued to watch Kageyama's unchanged expression before bringing his steady pace to a halt with a sudden thought that plagued his mind.

Kageyama didn't notice right away and got about five his size steps ahead before he noticed he couldn't hear Hinata's steps anymore and stopped and looked back to find his boyfriend wide eyed with his cheeks slightly pink.

Suprised Kageyama called out as he stepped towards Hinata,

"Oi! What are you spacing out for dumbass caught a cold?"

Hinata just blinked jumping slightly at Kageyama's booming voice before making eye contact with Kageyama and saying something that not only shocked Kageyama but himself as well for being so bold.

" I-i love you... Kageyama.."

He said it just slightly above a whisper only himself and Kageyama hearing it. At those words Kageyama had stopped in his tracks, jaw dropping.

They both had a mutual understanding and respect of the other and both had confided that they probably would never be able to have a successful relationship with another person and not feel like they were being forced to choose between relationship and volleyball as well as they could see each other being together for a long time anyways in the future, then the fact Kageyama thought Hinata was cute and girl like whereas Hinata thought Kageyama was just plain handsome.

So with that they both agreed to a relationship not expecting much out of it until the time had come where they thought they might want it to be more than just knowing the other one was there and for nobody else but the other.

This is the first either had said how they really feel though and it had been the shorty? Kageyama couldn't believe the gall Hinata had to be so open and expressive about it which caused Kageyama to blush as well.

Both boys quiet and still like statues for they don't know how long for until Kageyama shouted.

"What the hell?! You don't just.. AAAHH dumbass Hinata!"

"What?!?! I tell you that I love you and you call me a dumbass?! Bakayama!"

Hinata had shouted back hands balled into fists at his sides as he stomped his foot in frustration towards his boyfriend.

Soon Kageyama was in front of him breathing heavily as if in anger. Hinata tilting his head back looking up at his boyfriend in an angry staring contest.

" Okay so what do you wanna do about it then?"

Kageyama asked taking Hinata by suprise. They haven't held hands yet and Kageyama asks him what he wants to do? He doesn't even know himself so he asks the question back at Kageyama.

" I don't know what were you thinking? I just wanted to tell you before I lost the nerve in case I never got to where I could say it again.."

Looking at the ground yet again feeling bashful and nervous towards the giant king Hinata starts to play with the hem again as well.

Kageyama thinks and can't process this situation very well. Just what does he want? What would Hinata be okay with? He reached out and ruffled the ginger hair that sat atop his boyfriends head in an attempt to be intimate and affectionate towards the shorter one.

This proved effective as Hinata looked up at Kageyama with a big bright toothy smile that made Kageyama blush and look away muttering something along the lines of Hinata being a dumbass.
