Just A Chapter

James ' POV

When I heard Kendall's sweet and gentle voice as he walked into the living room I felt more comfortable.

"Hey big guy," he said. K always called us that when we were in distress. He took complete charge although he was the youngest of the four of us.

I took a deep breath before answering him. "Hey bro." I said without makin eye contact.

"About what just happened...." he started.

"Yeah?" I said gesturing for him to go on.

"Gosh I just have so many questions." He said shaking his head. I really couldn't blame him. I was pretty much confused too.

"Well lemme help u out." I said as I explained all my feelings for Peta and that I was worried that Halston was going to do something bad, because let's be honest....it was Halston Sage.

Kendall sat there listening to my story. He was a great listener.

Even though I knew he was going to tell the other guys sooner or later...I really didn't care because we were really close. And they deserved to know.

"James I think you should talk to Peta about your feelings for her." He said once I was completely done.

If anyone could give advice about girls it was Kendall. He was excellent at hiding his feelings for a girl. That's why today Katelyn Tarver (Kendall's crush) is married now. Btw Katelyn played Jo on our show on nick.

But we all knew that Kendall didn't have feelings for Jo alone.

"Why?" I asked cuz it seemed like the most sensible question at this point in time.

"Cause you might end up losing her." He replied.

"Like you lost Katelyn?" I asked finally making eye contact with him.

He looked to the ground...totally embarrassed.

Fox came into the room and started barking.

"Hey look its Fox. Listen you've gotta feed him and do whatever you've gotta do today ok?" Kendall said getting up and leaving the room, totally avoiding my question.

"Hey big guy. You're hungry aren't ya?" I said petting my dog.

I fed Fox then headed to the gym with Eric (my trainer) for one hour.

I then decided to go talk to Peta.

Beau's POV.

I rang the doorbell and waited for the most beautiful and elegant person in the world Peta Murgatroyd to open it.

Ok ok yes I did have a crush on Peta but I've never told her.

What? You think it's easy?

The closest I got to her was being her best friend but today was my chance to show her that I liked her more than a friend.

She had gotten eliminated last night and she was probably crushed. James was probably the best partner she ever had.

The tought of James made my healously come back.

She and James were really close.

And it hurt my heart.

"Hey Beau." Peta said finally opening the door and pulling me into a hug.

I hugged her back....really liking the next few seconds.

When she finally let go she looked up and into my eyes.

Her eyes looked like she had a long night of crying. I felt really bad for her.

"I'm so sorry." I told her.

"It's okay." She said. "I mean these things happen right?"

I nodded my head in agreement.

"Hey Peta, umm you doing anything umm tomorrow?" I said looking away and not making eye contact.

"Yea I'm going to be weeping all day."

I laughed but stopped when she didn't laugh back.

"Why?" She asked.

"I just wanted to know if you and me can hang out?"

"You mean like a date?"

"No umm just like a best friend get together." I lied.

"Sorry Beau this is just really a rough time for me. Maybe some other time." She hasn't smiled for the entire conversation.

"I understand." I told her. "Hey where were you after the show? I was trying to call but you didn't answer." I asked her.

"I went out for dinner with James." She said losing her eye contact with me.

"Oh." Was all I could've said. She couldn't go out with me but she could've gone with James. What. The. Hell.

"Well I'm gonna go." I told her cuz things were really getting weird.

"Yea bye." She said slamming the door in front of my face.

She was being such a dumbo. She couldn't have been  ore prissy.

I mean this really isn't the first time she's gotten eliminated from dwts. Why does she care now?

I was walking away from her house when I heard a familiar voice.

"Wow." Halston, James' ex said coming up from the side of Peta's house.

"What?" I said asking her.

"What? That's your question after all this happened."

"I'm sorry....."

"Save it Beau."

Wow! Now I knew why James broke up with her.

"Peta obviously likes James, Beau. And you obviously like Peta." She continued.

"We don't know that Peta likes James." I said bluntly.

"Well lemme tell you something that I do know." I listened to her.

"James likes Peta." I froze.
