The water was too cold for swimming but anything to get to see his skin.
Archie stood hip deep into the water waiting for Jughead to strip down to his underwear.
Except he didn't but instead had a bathing suit under his clothes.

"I knew we would end up here, we come here every summer." He smiles before
cannon balling into the water.
He resurfaces and runs his hands through his silky hair.

Archie plunges into the water and holds his breath, staring at the boys pale legs.
"The waters so clear. So refreshing" Jughead lets the sun in on his face.
Archie stares.

Two began splashing each other before things become physical.
Archie grabs Jug by the waist and tackles him underwater.jughead gets free and hops on his shoulder trying to drown him.
Archie fake drowns but rolls him off his back.

"It's good to finally hang out with you, dude."
"Yeah you too." Archie responds.
Archie looks at Jughead then at his lips.
"Stare much?" Jughead jokes .
"Uh no." Archie turned over than headed out of the water. "I'm kinda bored, wanna get lunch?"
"Sure."
Archie puts his clothes on and waits for Jug.
"Why didn't u bring a bathing suit dummy."
Archie blushes, "I didn't think about it before."
"Well turn around, I have to change."
Archie turns his body around and waits patiently.
Jughead grabs his shoulder and leads the way.

There was only three people at pops, an old couple and a middle age man with a laptop.
Jughead sits at their usual booth claps his hands together.
"I'm definitely getting a burger, wanna split a fry, its cheaper?"
"Uh—yeah man."
"Is something up? Your being quiet."
"Nah I'm good."

"What will you fine gentlemen be having today?"
"I'll take a cheeseburger and Archie will have..."
"I'll have the same."
"And a large fry please. Thanks pops"
"No problem, Jughead. Archie I'm so sorry about your dog Vegas."
Jughead gives a confused look to Archie.
"Thank you Pops." He says quietly.

"You said you good Archie. You lied to me."
"I'm sorry." Archie frowns
"What happened to Vegas?"
"He's sick, but he'll be okay."
"I hope so. You know you can tel me these things. We're still best friends alright?"
Jughead gives him a smile which Arch gladly returns.
"I love you man."
"I love you too."

"IM STUFFED." Jughead hops into Archie's truck and turns the radio on.
"Didn't think that would work."
"What do you mean."
"The radio."
"Oh."
Archie puts his seatbelt on and begins to pull out, but before he could, he had to verify that Jug had his seatbelt on.
"Seatbelt."
"Your not my dad."
"You're right.I'm your daddy. Now put it on."
He quickly puts it on and pouts.

Archie pulls up to Jugheads to new home, or Betty's old home.
"Were here."
"I don't wanna go home." Jug whines.
"What do you mean, where do you wanna go."
"I don't know, anywhere."
Jughead drops his phone beneath Archie's legs.
He quickly bends down to retrieve it then locks eyes with Kevin who stood outside of his house.

"Hey kevin." He says as he exits the car.
"What's up?" He says confused as he walks up to Archie.
"So, enjoying boxing Archie? Can't believe you lied to me!" Kevin yells.
"I'm sorry Kev, I wanted to tell you."
"Why didn't you? He's your best friend, you could have told me."
"I know, I just thought you would be mad."
"Why would i? Unless—-" Kevin's face lights up as he marches towards Jughead.
"Come here, you walking punching bag!"
Archie pulls him back.
"Dude what the hell did I do?!" Jughead headed towards the house."
"Stay away from Archie!"
"WOAH dude. I'll see you later Archie!" He runs inside.

"I should kick your ass."
" for the last time, I didn't cheat. We're just friends."
Kevin sits quietly for a couple minutes before letting out a long sigh.
"Alright. I believe you." He kisses his cheek before exiting the car.

"Possessive much."
Archie turns the key but before he does, he gives Jug a quick text.
Archie Hey, wanna come back out, Kevin left. We can to the mall and ride the marry go round.
Jughead I'm good man, but thanks.
Archie no problem 🙂
Jughead hey Archie.
Archie yeah?
Jughead I love you like a brother. Nothing more.
Archie I know. Love you too.
Jughead later dude.

Archies heart shatters as she speeds off into the road.
His car hits a bump and he loses control as his car crashes against the guardrail into the grass, hitting a tree.
He fell asleep to the car horn.
