What Happens at Midnight

Hi to the 0 people that are probably reading this. This is supposed to take place at the end of Blink and You Die. I doubt people will read this but if you are I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by:). Idk how long I want this to go, but I do know I want to make other storys in the 'What If' category. I am open to suggestions; please enjoy this fanfic.
Also note- I don't update frequently, but I would love to finish it
I just update on whims, and then wait a while to upload a chapter because I need to revise it a lot
I mean, quality over quantity, right?

Ruby was glad to have Mrs. Digby, Hitch, her parents, Clancy, and Bug by her side. As it came nearer to midnight Ruby thought how lucky she was to have Clancy has her best friend. And if it weren't for Hitch, well, she would've been dead multiple times already.

Once she eventually recoiled from her mother's embrace, Ruby could speak to Clancy as Hitch was talking to Sabina about the party.

At first they just stood next to each other until Clancy broke the silence. "Rube, you've got to stop running into physopath killers; you had me hanging on edge!!" Clancy was the only person, besides Mrs. Digby, who could make a joke even in the most grave situations.

"Calm down Clance, last time I checked I haven't died yet." And while it was true that trouble always found her, she had her Redfort luck making her almost immortal.

At this point Mrs. Digby had already left after Bug who was chasing Mr. and Mrs. Redfort. Only Hitch was left with Ruby and Clancy as it struck midnight. And almost on cue he looked away at the end of the 10 second countdown as Ruby and Clancy automatically leaned in towards each other.
