When i was younger, i had a fear of dying. And now i have dictated that fear by coming up with the idea that we are all just dying slowly. So i may as well live how i want.
My name is Joanne Margret Leah Kirchner. People call me Jay. Joanne is too girly. Im eighteen years old and Im in love with a grunge boy named Bradley Drew Lumston. He isnt the captain of the football team or the soloist in band...but a silent grunge boy with a heck of an attitude.
His deep blue eyes that look like the sea at night when the moonlight shines on it. His hair is a thick wavy brown mop that he occasionally spikes up. He is thinner than a twig, and very tall.
Well let me begin with our backstories. Everything will make more since.
So Bradley. He was left with his mom when he was three. And when his dad came back to visit, he always would get beaten. When he was seven, his dad got arrested for drug abuse. And now, Bradley is eighteen and he lives on his own. His mom left him one day when he was at school. He works to take care of himself.
I cant imagine having a life like that.
Anyways, my backstory. I was born into a family of six. Mom, dad, my two brothers Austin and Jackson, and my two sisters Carmen and Sarah. They're all older. By a lot. All of them are married except for Austin. My dad is a preacher, so we have a very religious and strict life. But it all works out. So because of us being a religious family, i was baptized when i was fifteen, after going to church camp with my best friend Daisy. And when i turned seventeen, Bradley moved to Brazil...Indiana. Not Brazil South America. When he first moved here...i was pretty much the same, except i was more girly. People called me Joanne. I wore more skirts, and vibrant colors. But since Bradley moved here...i have become more grungy. His story moved me. It really did.
When Bradley got here, he seemed to fit right in...from my point of view. But as we became better friends...i found out the truth. I found out his backstory. I fell in love.

"Bradley! Hurry your butt up!" I yelled as i pushed on his butt to make him move faster.
"Shut up you ass." He said back playfully.
"Language! Language!!!" I said as i climbed into the tree house.
We built this treehouse about a year ago. And we go here to hang out. Just to talk. Its pretty nice. Considering that its a tree house. It has a small Vizio TV. And a little plug in fan that is heated. A mini fridge and microwave. With a cabinet full of snacks. And we have a wall filled with books. Books of all kinds. Fantasy. Romance. Drama. Everything.
Bradley plopped into his black bean bag chair and skimmed his finger over the bottom shelf of the books.
"Want some popcorn?" I asked as i opened the snack cabinet.
"Always." He replied as he rolled his eyes.
I shoved in the bag as he flipped on the TV. I went and sat down in my dark blue bean bag chair next to his.
"So how was your day?" Bradley asked as he stretched out his body. I could see his six pack as he lifted his arms over his head.
"Pretty good. Yours?" I replied as i stopped on Spongebob.
"Shitty. Miss. Daniel gave me an after school for not doing my homework. I told her i did it, but it was at home." Bradley said as he stretched out again.
"Did you do it?" I asked as the popcorn started to pop.
"Haha your funny." Bradley said sarcastically.
"So what are your plans for this weekend?" I asked as i turned toward him.
"Whatever your doing. Ive got nothing else." Bradley said.
"Well, Daisy is coming over later. And spending the night. So i guess you could stay. You'd just have to ask my mom." I said as i walked to the microwave.
"Yaaaas. Sleeeepoverrrrr!" Bradley said as he threw his arms up.
I laughed and got out two bowls and dumped in the popcorn into them.
"Get me a cold beer." Bradley said depressingly.
"Uhm. Sorry. I drank the last one yesterday. Hahaha." I joked.
"Root beer will have to do." Bradley said as he sighed.
I sat back down with the snacks and handed Bradley his bowl and drink.
"So Jay." Bradley said as he twirled his fingers.
"Yesss Bradley?" I asked.
"Why are you such a babe." He said. He didn't ask.
"Why are you so hot. Bradley. Your such a babe. Like OMG." I said as i put my hands on my cheeks.
"I just cant help it." Bradley said.
About an hour later, i was knocked out. Asleep.
I woke up to my phone buzzing. Daisy texted me and told me she was going to be a little bit late.
I looked over to Bradley's chair...and he wasn't there.
"Bradley?" I asked as i sat up.
"Im here." I heard him say.
I stood up and walked out onto the little porch. He was sitting on the edge with his legs dangling over.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah. I just wanted to come look out here." Bradley said.
"Oh. Well...i can go back-"
"No your fine. Id actually prefer that you sit here with me." He said as he looked up at me.
"Okay." I smiled, and then sat next to him.
We sat there for a while. And neither of us said anything.
Did he do this all the time and i just didn't know it?
