Chapter 3

Brandon was passed out on the couch and his clothes were every where, he was laying in his boxers. I huff picking up his dirty smelly clothes and tossing them in his hamper in his room. I open my room door and set my purse on the ground and flip my shoes off. I sat on my bed and huffed again. It was such a long day and I have to do this two more times, but on the bright side it's summer break. I undress that way I'm just in my undies. I throw on a baggy black shirt and take my brown hair out of my side bun. I start to brush the knots out of my medium length hair. My hair was frizzy and thin, oh how I wish my hair was perfect, but we don't always get what we want. Most of my make up had sweated off, so not much effort had to be put in to take it off. I climb into bed and before I know it I'm fast asleep.

I open the heavy metal door to work and feel the air blow my hair back. I decided just to do a messy bun because my hair was dirty. Every girl knows what I mean by that, day two or three hair that needs a wash but is too lazy to wash it. I look for Sam but don't see her, just a few lady's in the back prepping food.

"Elena!" Yells Nicole. I look over at her and walk over. "So Sam's not here anymore so someone else will be training you today." She says walking up to me.

"And that would be?" I say holding out the end of the word be.

"Daniel." She smiles.

I nod my head. Great Mr.bumps a lot is gonna be with me all day. I put my purse away and put my apron on and see what I'm assuming is Jack, he was here yesterday and Daniel and Corbyn said he has really curly hair and a nose ring, and that's exactly what he looked like. I stand there for a moment more a prepare myself for today. I go to find Daniel. As I'm walking around I go through the Togo area door but immediately get hit with it. The door was one the opened both ways.

"I'm so sorry-." I say before I stop.

"Oh so now your names so sorry? Noted." Daniel smiles. I had to admit his smile was attractive. I shake my thoughts and glare at him.

"You really need to watch where you're going." I say giving him a blank facial expression. He just stares at me and smiles. "So I heard you're training me today." I say

"Yeah because Sam came in drunk." He chuckles leaning on the Togo counter. I purse my lips and nod my head. "But don't worry it'll be fun." He smiles again ever so gently running his hand on the side of my waist as he walks past me. Did he really just touch me like that? Does this kid not know what personal space is? I could tell it was gonna be a long day.

We went over what I already knew, and since it was gonna be my last day I needed to show I could handle a few tables to myself. So the plan was that I would take every other table that got sat in our serving section. Servers are assigned certain tables in certain areas, so that was how we were basing it off of. The morning was fairly busy so I some what kept to myself focusing on my tables and asking Daniel a few questions here and there, and of course every time I asked something Daniel had something snarky or smart ass like to say. It was getting close to our first shift ending and I was starving and was thinking about what I was gonna eat. I finished wiping the dessert area clean and Daniel comes up to me, I wonder what joke he was gonna crack now.

"Hey I'm running over to the music store to say hi to Zach, wanna come with me to grab a bite?" He smiles.

"Uh sure, is that ok? I don't wanna ruin your guys lunch." I say wiping my wet hands on my apron.

"Yeah of course, plus he wants to meet you." He smiles. God his smile was so amazing. "Also here." He says handing me some cash.

"What's this?" I question.

"Your tips?" He says confused.

"Sam said that they don't tip people they train even if they take care of a table by themselves." I say not taking the money.
