It was a long three months, waiting for everyone to calm down from their season of pain and lust so that we could continue on our journey towards the home I knew we needed to find.
"Baekhyun what are you doing?" I asked, looking down at the younger, who had suddenly decided to lay down in the dirt and look to the sky.
"I don't feel good." He whispered, looking at me in pain. "I think the air is affecting me too, but differently."
"That would make sense because I've been in pain the past three days as well. I couldn't figure out why though." Junmyeon added, bending down to examine Baekhyun.
"You're not going to die, right?" Xingchen asked, gripping her lover's hand in fear. "You have a child on the way, remember?"
"I don't think so, because we are all breathing fine. It could just be they are evolving to live on the planet comfortably, compared to their planet." I replied, giving her a smile of comfort. I turned to Junmyeon for a look of approval, since it was usually him that explained these kinds of things.
"I notice your stars are changing," Junmyeon said, looking at Baekhyun's neck. We all leaned in to see that the stars were glitching between what they were and what they would become.
"That would explain the pain because yours are as well." The younger said, pointing to his.
"I know. I think we're adapting to live here, so our birth markers are changing to identify with the land like they'd been doing all our lives." The elder explained, smiling even though he felt so much pain.
He needed to comfort his younger, help him through this change. It was a scary thing for them both, but Junmyeon knew the young Baekhyun was terrified of it even more than he himself was.
"Do you think we can at least make it a little farther?" Sehun asked, looking hopeful at his elders. Both of them nodded, getting off the ground and continuing on our journey.
I felt bad as they limped in pain, but knew they just wanted to find our new home as bad as the rest of us.
"Hyung, I don't feel good either, but I think it's a different reason." Jongin softly said as he leaned on me, holding his stomach in pain.
"Jongin, are you okay?" Yixing asked, the younger not able to respond before he hurled forward and emptied what little food he'd eaten the morning before.
"Hyung!" Sehun cried out, running to him and leaning softly on him. "Are you okay?"
"I think my human side is controlling me at the moment." He whispered, looking to his lover in fear and happiness rolled into one.
"What does that even mean?" Junmyeon asked, looking st him in confusion.
"The boy's trying to say he's pregnant." Xingchen blurted out, laughing at us for not knowing. "As a human, you only throw up when A you're sick, or B you're pregnant."
"But, I mean, it's only because of his Abydos blood he's pregnant, why is his human blood interfering?" Sehun asked, looking to his elders in confusion.
"But technically he's not Abydos either, remember? Maybe Kaxail blood does that." Kyungsoo whispered, whimpering in pain as his stomach lurched within him and caused him to empty his meal as well.
"Please, we rarely even have kids. Most of the time we are test-tube babies. Nobody likes it there." Taeyong replied, looking in disgust at everyone. "It's your human blood."
"The only Pure Kaxail that likes it is you, is that what you're saying?" Junmyeon said, flirtatiously looking at the younger and making him flinch uncomfortably. "Unless, you're not Pure, are you?"
"What's with this sudden investigation? You've got pregnant men to worry about." He stuttered out, face turning red.
"Let's leave the poor boy alone, he's right," Jongdae spoke up, gently holding Kyungsoo as he groaned in pain. "I swear to Inasad, Chanyeol, I'm going to kill you if Kyungsoo dies from your child."
"Don't bring your god into this. I love that small little body named Kyungsoo, and I look forward to holding his child in my arms." The taller hissed out, glaring at Jongdae and picking Kyungsoo up. "I'll carry him until we take another break."
We walked in silence for another three hours, unsure of what to say without getting into an argument with another person in the group.
Kyungsoo slept comfortably on his lover's back, even wrapping his arms around the taller's shoulders and his legs around his waist. Jongin complained about Sehun not carrying him, and Junmyeon argued with Taeyong on whether or not they were a couple.
Yixing and Xingchen held hands and whispered to each other in their secret language while Baekhyun sulked about being left out of their conversation. Jongdae just silently held my hand, lost in his head as much as I was lost in mine.
"Wait, guys, shush." I suddenly said, hearing a twig snap in the distance. Everyone obeyed quickly as they saw my frightened face. There was another snap, and we all fled to hide within the trees as Taeyong turned invisible.
"Who are you?" A voice growled, an arrow aimed at my face. I looked in fear at the woman standing before me, her face masked and body stance dominating.
"My name is Minseok. Kim Minseok." I whispered, gently pushing the weapon away. "I mean you no harm."
"Sure. Hands up in the air. Call your friends, since you're the leader. Everyone is coming with me." She barked out, making me flinch a bit.
"You're by yourself. How will you take us all? There's eleven of us." I replied, making her blue eyes sparkle as she laughed. With a nod of her head, twenty others came out of the woods, most of them holding a weapon to my friend's heads as they dragged them out.
"Wanna try to rephrase that comment?" She offered, making me shut my mouth and bow.
"As I said before, we don't mean any harm. We're just passing through, trying to find our home." I softly answered, giving her a smile to up her trust.
"As I said earlier, I don't believe anything your freaks are telling me. You are coming with me now." She replied, showing her weapon back at me to lead me on.
"I could kill you if I wanted to," I muttered, obeying her as we walked forward, but still earning a smack to the back for my words of threatening. I winced as I felt my blood start to drip from the wound, internally glaring at her.
