{CHAPTER 2}

At first, I hated them. They were to Rock for me. Idk. And the piercings scared me, but I will admit. The lead singer and the bass player had nice faces.

Labella, however, fell for them before they even walked out on stage. She jumped so many times during their performance I didn't think she'd have enough energy left for the One Direction part of the concert. I danced, but not as hard as Labella.

There songs were catchy. They had done four or five when the lead singer announced that they would be playing their last song.

Everyone in the band looked confused. The drummer had already began to walk off stage. The guitarist, who had lime green hair, quickly scurried across the stage to the rest of them. Since we were in the second row, me and Labella could make out some of their conversation.

The Guitarist was the first to speak. "Luke, dude. That WAS our last song." He said.

So apparently the lead singers name was Luke. He quickly stated back "Listen Michael. We have to do "Try Hard". There's a girl down here, and wow."

The guitarist, who's name must've been Michael said, "Really? Where? Come on."

I swear to god. Luke, at least I think that was his name, pointed at me. I could've bet money on it.

"There." Luke said.

"Yea. Ummm....I agree." Michael stammered.

"Calum, Ashton, "Try Hard", Luke practically demanded.

The Bass Player was concerned. "I thought our set was over."

Without looking at him Luke stated "One more song."

The Drummer after realizing what was going on asked "Couldn't we get in trouble for that?"

Michael quickly answered, "Yea, but One Direction's cool and it's not like we do it every time."

The Drummer agreed, but said "Just know, I'm only doing this because you need someone to hold you together."

Then he ran back to the drum set. The Bass Player and Luke exchanged a few more words which I couldn't make out because random screams had erupted after the Drummer ran back to the drums.

After they all had returned to there places, Luke announced that their last song was an original called "Try Hard". The drummer counted down and they began.

I knew as soon as the song started that I liked it. It had a great beat you could dance to, and the lyrics were perfect. It was still not my favorite music in the world though. When the song hit the bridge, Luke looked straight at me to sing it.

"But now who knew, she's in the crowd at my show. Nothing to lose, she's standing right in the front row"

I automatically dismissed the whole situation after that. Obviously they were taking about the girl in front of me. She was in the front row, not me. She didn't even seem to notice either. I tapped on her shoulder. I figured it would be ok to talk to her since we were both at a One Direction concert, that meant we had at least one thing in common. But, when the she turned around my heart dropped.

It wasn't even a woman. It never occurred to me to look for long hair or a One Direction t-shirt. It was a man. A dad, of course, to the girl in front of Labella. I automatically played it off like I hadn't meant to tap his shoulder. How awkward.

As all this was happening I hadn't realized that Luke, the singer from the band, was pointing me (or someone around me) out to security. I automatically looked at Labella and asked what I had done wrong. I thought maybe I had gotten in trouble for taping the mans shoulder. That was the last thing I needed too. To be thrown out of what was supposed to be the best night of my life. Labella had the meanest look on her face.

I practically screamed "WHAT?" at her.

Labella asked "Do you even like them?"

I answered "They're not my favorite but they're talented. Why?"

Labella gave me an *I can't believe this look* and said "Because the lead singer just sent a bodyguard to get you and take you back stage."

I laughed "Labella, there's no way."

She looked me dead in the eyes. "Oh. There's a way."

Labella pointed behind me just as he tapped me on the shoulder.
