Once Wednesday rolled around, you felt light and bright. You were excited to see Jolina, but not because of the crush thing, but because she was actually fun to be around.

Today, you agreed to meet at 2:30 pm because her classes ended earlier today. (You prayed she actually woke up for her Psych class this time)

Right now you were in the last class of the day, Cinema and Politics, your chosen course elective. Today, you were watching another Sampaguita Productions film, and it was interesting; your mind was just elsewhere right now.

Your phone vibrated against your leg, but you ignored it to pay attention.

Ever since agreeing to this tutoring job, the story of your life has been feeling your phone vibrate in your pocket.

You didn't want to check it yet, for fear of losing your focus.

After the third consecutive text message notification, you snuck out your phone at last, unable to take the anticipation.

From: Jolina Dela Cruz
sorry alam kong nasa klase ka pero may problema ako, pwede bang puntahan mo nalang ako pagkatapos? di ata ako makakaabot sa coffee bean

From: Jolina Dela Cruz
sa may velasco ako sa mga bench

You wondered why at first, but you didn't question it; maybe she was just tired.

After all, it didn't cost you much to walk to her directly.

Your class ended at 2:28, which made anxiety seep within you since you were at a high up floor. You prayed she wouldn't stressed or mad over you being late.

To: Jolina Dela Cruz
Sorry ngayon lang ako natapos, papunta na ako dyan.

You almost slipped rushing down the stairs in hurry, and you earned weird stares from other students, but it was fine as long as you made it.

After what felt like forever, you reached her location, sweating and puffing from your urgency.

Your eyes searched for her; where on earth was that girl?

That's when your eyes landed on cats—and then a person.

"J-joli—Jols?" You called out from a distance to make sure.

Her head turned slightly,
and her eyes lit up, you noticed she was surrounded—by cats.

"Y/N." She breathed out.

You walked towards her to see exactly what was going on; a cat across her shoulder, one asleep on her lap, and others gathering around her for attention.

You've reached the end of published parts.
