Chapter 10

Tommy got up the next morning after a night of hardly no sleep, made the arrangements for dinner tonight, he knew of this very nice restaurant on top of a hotel that spun around slowly to see the whole city, he had to secure private dining so that they could enjoy their special night out without fans bothering him for autographs, he'd expose her to that soon enough, then off to meet Jason.

Jason got to the pub a few minutes before Tommy and secured himself two seats at the bar in a corner and ordered his first beer. Tommy comes walking in, Jason stands, they shake hands Tommy orders a beer and they sit.

"How's she doing Tommy"?

"Restless for the most part but relaxing, you gave her quite a scare, but she is ok"

"She went to you that night I take it and came down with a crying spell since I was in the hospital"

"She did, I let her cry and stayed with her all night"

"Best thing and about the only thing you can do for her when she does that, once she cries it out, she moves on, when it's simple of course. When her parents died, took a month of crying each night, but she overcame it and moved forward" "That's something she can talk about now and not cry, but on their birthdays and death date, she may shed a few tears, you'll have to take her to their burial spot on those days." "They were her only family, she has no one else."

"She has you and Julie"

"True, and no matter how far you and her go I'll always be there for her, I'll never leave her alone" "We'd die for each other, I'm sure she's told you" "Some of her work is hard and sometimes dangerous, we have each others backs at work and at home, it will not stop with the work clock"

"She has talked about this and I understand and appreciate the love you both have for each other, I would not ask you to back off at any time"

"Good, we agree on that" Smiling, they ordered another beer and sandwiches.

"The case I'm about to hand over to her is from her hometown, it's in Illinois, she may be making a few trips up there from time to time interviewing and looking into things, wanted to let you know she may be doing some traveling, most times I'll go with her, gotta cover her six"

"I can live with that, she knows at times I'll travel too here and there"

"And not to surprise you, we, if you're not there, share a room, two double beds, don't get me wrong on the sex part, never going to happen, but we used to get two rooms, we found out fast years ago that we stay up all night talking and working on the case and fall asleep in the same room, so why get two and just use one." "If Julie or you go along for company two rooms it would be so you can get sleep, but just her and I, it's one room and you'll have to trust us both" "Just want that straight up front, unless it bothers you"

"Jason, her and I have not slept together as of yet, I've come to realize in the very beginning how special she is, I've been using these last several weeks getting to know her, what she says I trust and have learned from her to trust you"

"She has fallen in love with you, she's never had that kind of relationship in the past, I'm glad you held her off, took its toll on me, but I appreciate you did that" "I hope this works out for the two of you"

"Somehow I'll make it, it'll be my life's mission, that I can promise you"

"Good, when's the holding her off end so I can get some rest"?

"Tonight" "Taking her to a nice dinner and then"

"Thank the Gods" "Ya know, I took her to the shooting range a couple of times, first time she was sexually frustrated she shot you right between the eyes, second time she shot your dick off, she don't miss her shots either, she is an expert on the gun range".

"Damn, she missed telling me that one" "Might have ran, hog tied her down or taken her to bed then" Laughing

"Yeah, you never know which way to go with the little witch" They both laughed. "But a note to you, don't try and hogtie her, she can get out of that in a split second, tried that a time or two and lost every time, never tried the sex with her, my place is to run, I've got her by a second for two there." "You might have to rely on sex with her and from what I know, damn you might be one lucky man there, have fun finding out"

They finished small talking, both shook hands and grateful for their time talking, Tommy off to get ready for his night.
