The light that shines
Down on us at night endowed
From our own loved ones
That once shone brightest on
Their dying day.
Oh, how ironic
The dark navy sky
Is filled with sad and broken
Hearts and souls
That shine with all they are
For it is known,
That stars shine brightest
Before they collapse.
Those were our close ones,
Before they turned into
The bright flickers of light
That shine down on us
At night
We stare up at those
Same flickers
Made by stardust
That we stare up at
In the dark night sky.
We stare up at those
Same flickers
Made by stardust
That we stare up at
In the dark night sky.
