I woke up today with a sense of reason. I know what I want to do today and how to make the seconds tick by faster. I did think about how I would write the 'STORY OF ALL ENDS' it has a ring to it I think. Anyways it will be hard writing the story without my personal remarks here and there so those I will be writing in my wonderful cursive more like slanted handwriting to show you the difference. Although the chances somebody does need an explanation to whose opinions it is means this book has been found.

Let's begin this ending journey.

Saturday came too fast for comfort. The droplets of the window being my entertainment for the day race to the end. My eyes trail down the window of my apartment and the lights of passing cars make the drumming in my head stronger. I walk over to the kitchen and swallow water down not bothering trying to slow down. My room suddenly seems very far away considering my apartment was rather small. My heavy steps echo a little in the empty room until they reach the comforting softness of my bed. My head hits the pillow first intensifying my headache. I lay down comfortably and put my laptop back on my lap. I open the document that has haunted me for two years now. My project, my everything.

My loud clock announces its almost one am. I have been looking at the blinding computer whiteness for two hours. My fingers move over the keyboard and my eyes start reading.

'The start of the investigation will be conducted by Adam Deshourt, Jennifer Lane, and Gabriela Santa. With permission with the university of Kingswell and the help of their facilities. The investigation will mainly take place in their facilities as well as some funding. This investigation is crucial for the advancement of human knowledge on the topic of genetics and genetic engineering. Entries will be made every month or in intervals for the university and for the staff around who will dedicate their time to help the investigation proceed. The entries made will be by the main investigators of the vaccine. These will be published at the end of each year of investigation to the community of the university with the full rights and credits to the original scientists being Adam Deshourt, Jennifer Lane, and Gabriela Santa.'

Adjusting the glasses on my nose to give my eyes some rest as I start reading the first entry.

'January is the start of the investigation. We have started the testing on mouses and not rats because of their initial reaction to human testing. The mice have been easier to maintain in the lab than the rats. Gergin has been produced in a small scale to be tested on mice. They have yet to be injected but the production has been smooth. The need for human testing if this goes according to plan will be around the months of March or June.'

I stop reading the entry and scroll lower looking for the moth of march to see if the prediction had been correct. I wanted to read about the human testing and the trials.

'March has begun and the mice have yet to show bad symptoms. They have been injected with Gergin three times and as expected the DNA we get from them is more malleable. We have been able to start the change of fur color on one of the mice. The mouse had initially been grey but had the recessive gene to be red. With the help of Gergin, we were able to give the recessive gene more dominance and now the mouse's ear has red fur covering it rather than its original grey.'

The success of a vaccine to control DNA? I try to keep on reading yet the beating in my head and the white spots in my vision are enough to make me close the laptop and lay it beside me. I lean over to turn the light off and get under the covers slowly with my eyes already closed. Gingerly taking my glasses off and placing them on my nightstand I hear the faint splatter of drops around me. Drifting off to sleep slowly as I think about the mice.
