You and yeji been dance rivals since 5th grade you both always competed for first place.

Y/n was walking down the hall after pratice to buy a drink from the vending machine when she saw a poster hanged up on the wall
She went over to it and it read "2019 DANCE COMPETITION PRISE MONEY OF 2K"
She was in excitement she new she was one of the best dancers intell she read the rest of it "must be in groups of 5 or more" she grow disappointed as she walked to her next class

(y/n POV)
"Hey y/n did you hear about the dance competition!!?"

"Yeah but you must be in groups of 5 or more" I say while looking down

"I overheard yeji talking about how she needs 1 more person to be in her dance group" she says in excitement

I immediately shake my head in disapproval

"I can't be in the same group as my enemy!!"

"I guess you don't want the prize money"

"Ughh fine I'll ask her" I say grumpily

At lunch I went over to yeji's table I didn't want to but i knew Jennie would convince me to anyways

"Hey yeji..."

She looks at me in confusion

"What do you want" she says in a bitchy tone

As soon as she says that I was about to walk away but Jennie was looking at me with the face of "you better stay your ass over there or else" kind of face

"I heard you needed one more dancer in your group" I say with a fake smile

"Yeah so..?"

"I was wondering if I can be part of your group"

She takes a moment to think about it then looks up at me

"Well you'll have to go through the preparations first" she says as she hands me a piece of paper

"Come to my house at 5 and don't be late"

She then grabs her tray and walk off

This was such a bad idea I didn't even want the prize money I just wanted everyone to know I'm the best dancer..

(Yeji's house)

"From the top again!!" She yells as claps her hands

"Yeji I been doing the same move for 5 times now!!" I say in disproval

"Do you want to be in my dance squad or not?!"

"No..."

"What was that"

"I said yes.."

Idk how many times this girl is going to make me dance the same part over and over again I finally had enough

"Did the other dancers had to go through this too!!?"

"No I just wanted to see you suffer she said while laughing"

Anger boiled inside of me and as i was about to walk away she grabbed my wrist

"W-wait we could really use your help!"

"How do I know this isn't a trick?"

"I'll call the others down and we'll all practice together!"

She then grabs her phone and calls her members over

A moment later the door bell ringed and she open the door revealing the rest of the dancers

She introduces them all to me and I smile back at them we begin to practice
Midway through the practice she stops me and gives me a look

"Your doing it all wrong!!"

"You been criticizing me since the beginning what's your problem!!" I scream at her

"Yeji..." Lia says as she attempts to grab her shoulder but Yeji pushed her hand away from her

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!" she runs away from the house

We all stand there awkwardly but then Ryunjin speaks up

"The truth is Yeji always been jealous of you that's why she's so hard on you"
She said while looking down

I was confuse Yeji always win first place in everything and always had the best grades I couldn't understand why she could be jealous of me

"She just wants a normal life" Ryunjin continues

I ran out the house after her

"Yeji wait!!"

"What do you want!!" She says while sobbing

"I'd like to make this work" I say smiling

"I'm sorry for being so hard on you"

"Don't worry about it now lets go win that 2k!!" I said in a cheerful voice

We ended up wining the contest and from that day on me and Yeji became best friends and always partner up on any dance competition
