"Morning Em."Jason says walking into the jury hen with his still messy bed head. "Hey" is all I respond with still feeling drained from last nights work shift. Today's Saturday which is often a pretty chill day for me and Jason neither of us work on Saturdays so we usually spend the day moping around our apartment. "Got any plans for today?"I ask."Actually I have a date tonight"says says while making himself a smoothie. "Really,with who ?" I asked surprised since he really spends most of his time focused on work. "This guy I met on tinder.His names Louis and his and he's an artist.Also he's really hot."He says excitedly."Where are going?"I ask. "Oh just the usual a dinner and a movie .I guess that means you'll have the apartment all to your self". "Guess so" I respond .

After about an hour we both settle down own the couch and decide to watch a movie.It was some horror movie that Jason was really excited about but I couldn't even be bothered to rennet the name of .About half way through the movie I feel myself drowning in boredom so I pull out my phone and start the scroll through Twitter for a little bit. One thing in particular catches my eye,I see another post about this singer who calls herself King Princess I click on her page and I instantly recognize her face."Jason look" I call out as I shove my phone in front of his face "I met this girl at work,I think she was flirting with me."I say feeling a little bit starstruck."What's her name?" he ask to engrossed in the movie to even look up at me "Um I think it's Mikaela but her stage name is King Princess."I respond. "Stage name?" He questions "What is she some kinda of famous artist or something.?" He asks "Something like that" I respond as the proceed to look through all her posts "She's even from Brooklyn" I say "You should message her." He responds."What,no that's weird I'll seem like a staled also she'll probably never even she the message anyway"I say. "Suit yourself."He responds in a mocking tone .After the movie finishes I make my way to my room and Jason to his.I settle down on my bed and instant receive a text message from one of my friends Maggie.

Maggie : "Hey stranger .I feel likes it been so long since I've seen you.I throwing a part tonight if you wanna come and catch up "

Emily:Hey Mag.Sure I'll come .Cant wait to see you!

I remember her address from the last time when she threw one of her famous parties.I never understood the hype behind parties even in high school I would much rather stay home and watch Netflix than go to a party and get wasted.But in my twenties and I guess this is what people of do in their twenties.Its probably best for me to get out of the house and go do something anyway, I think to my self.

I spend the next few hours doing both nothing really except.But somehow when I look at my phone it somehow manages to be 7:30. Jason has already left for his date and it's probably time for me to start getting ready .I put on my Spotify playlist consisting  of mostly emo music and hope in the shower.When I get out I just blow dry the hair dry and shuffle it a couple times before I'm satisfied with the product .I thrown a simple black top and pants with a pair of white heels that makes it so I don't look like a child .My make up look consists of just some foundation,mascara and lipgloss since I really never learned how to do anything else .Before heading out the door I spend a good ten minutes dancing to my  playlist enjoying my last few moments alone.I order an Uber to Maggie's house and head out of my apartment.
