When I woke up, we were in the jet and I had a major headache. "Ow, my head." I mumble while rubbing the back of my head. "Oh, you're awake." I turned to see Loki. "How did I get here?" I questioned him. "I had to carry you. You passed out after you hit your head." "Oh, um, okay. Next question. Why am I here?" "Because I want you here." He simply stated. I raised an eyebrow at him in confusion.

We finally arrived at our destination. The back hatch opened and Loki grabbed my arm again but this time, a little too tight. "I need to make sure you don't try to escape." "I haven't even tried to." "But just in case if you do." "But you're having that guy take the jet somewhere else and you probably have guards at every floor. I'm not armed and you're the one with the glowing Gandalf walking stick." We walked off the jet and I realized we were at the Stark towers. I maneuvered my forearm out of Loki's grasp. He turned to me and tried to grab my arm again but I blocked his hand. "Don't freaking touch me." I warned defensively. "I don't think you're in any position to be making demands." The black haired god has his guards point their guns at her.

Walking into Stark Towers was not a new thing for me. I've been to his parties. I know my way around. While I'm trying to plot my way out, I help myself to the bar. Loki observes me as I do. He sits on a chair facing the bar and the guards all are keeping watch.

Later that night, I had a dream that was almost too realistic. I was reliving Agent Coulson's death. Except, this time, Loki killed me too. Slowly and in the worst way possible. I woke up silently crying. I wipe the tears from my eyes. 'You have bigger things to worry about right now.' I tell myself.

I just stayed up for the rest of the night. I was taught to remain calm in a hostage situation. I knew of a phone I could text the other Avengers. But how would I get to it? Was I going to be able to tonight? It was depending on how many guards were outside the doors and if they would believe the lie I was about to tell them. I walk outside the door very quietly to make sure no guards were at my door. I sneak to see Loki at the table looking through a file. It looks like some of S.H.I.E.L.D's paper files. He looks a little distressed looking at the file. "You have forgotten me.." He whispers to himself. "The one thing you swore."  The god whispers to himself.

**A small time skip happens**

It was about afternoon when Erik Selvig came in. "My King, we are prepared to open the portal." "Very good. Open it now." Loki told Erik with a smile. "Right away my King." Then Erik hurried off. It wasn't too long after that that I heard someone shoot a repulser. I knew from the sound it was none other then Tony Stark. Loki turned to me. "Stay here." I nodded and he walked out. Soon after he walked out, he walked back in but with Tony. "Hey Midnight, what's up?" "Oh you know, being held hostage." I commented. "He do anything to you?" Tony questioned me. "Nope." I responded. "Good."

"Please tell me you are going to appeal to my humanity." Loki said. "Actually, I'm planning to threaten you." Tony was cocky as ever. "You should have left your armor on for that." Loki suggested. "Yeah, it's seen a bit of mileage and you've got the glow stick of destiny." Tony walked over to the bar. "Would you like a drink?" He offered the god of mischief. "Stalling me isn't going to change anything." Loki said. "No, no. Threatening. No drink? You sure? I'm having one. How about you Midnight, want one?" Tony now looked to me. "Yeah, why not." I skipped over to him. Before he could ask, I answered, "Whatever you're having." He poured me a glass and I took a sip. Don't get me wrong. I'm not much of a drinker.

"The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?" Loki said quite confidently. "The Avengers. That's what we call ourselves. 'Earth's mightiest heroes' type thing." Stark mentioned.  "Yes, I've met them." Loki put out there. "Yeah. It takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that. But let's do a head count here. Your brother Thor, the demigod. A super soldier, a living legend that lives up to the legend. A man with breathtaking anger-management issues. A couple of master assassins, counting Midnight here who has eyes like a hawk but can kill like a window and only comes out at night, and you, big fella, managed to piss off every single one of them." I'm surprised Tony didn't gasp after saying that much. That seemed like a mouth full! "Oh, and you too, a man in an iron suit of armor." I gave him credit too. "Oh yeah, him too." Tony agreed.

"That was the plan." Loki commented. "Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you." Tony said. "I have an army." Loki stated. "We have a Hulk." Tony said. "Oh, I thought your beast had wandered off." Loki got off track. "You're missing the point. There is no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we avenge it." Stark couldn't have said that any better. "How will your friends have time for me, when they're so busy fighting you?" Loki pointed his scepter at Tony's chest and touched him with the tip lightly. But nothing happened. Loki repeated his actions another time but again nothing happened.

"This usually works." Loki looked baffled. "Well performance issues, it's not uncommon. One out of five...." Tony was saying until Loki interrupted him by grabbing his throat and throwing him. "JARVIS, anytime now." Tony said. I put the now empty glass down and sprinted up to Loki to try to help Tony out but Loki just shot a something blue at me which sent me flying back and hitting a wall. Loki calmly walked up to Tony and grabbed him again. "You will all fall before me." Loki said harshly. "Deploy! Deploy!" Tony yelled in desperation, before being thrown out the window. The closet was opening, and Loki turned back to see. But what he got was the iron suit hitting him in the face.

A few seconds after Loki threw Tony at the window, Iron Man was hovering outside. "And there's one other person you pissed off. His name was Phil." Iron Man shot his repulser gun at Loki and Loki flew backwards.
