chapter 4 - a pack of asshats

after the little 'incident' me n alex just talked n did some more hw
a: sry i have to go home, my mum's calling
y/n: that's all right, i'll see u tmrw
alex said bye to me and he packed up his stuff and left, it was getting pretty late, so i decided to do my night routine and go to sleep. it was unusual, i thought he would try to pull a stunt on me. but i soon let sleep take over me
friday morning
i woke up a little bit late today at 7:00, school didn't start till 9:00 since it was a friday.
i get dressed into

i straighten my hair

i collect all the things i need for the day;
portable charger, money ($100 - leftover from yesterday), pencil case and books, snacks, earphones, my house keys and my car keys
i head out the door and drive to school, i pull up and see ona near the lockers, so i walk up to her
o: oh hey y/n!
y/n: hey b, how's it going?
o: not bad actually, alex isn't at school again, typical
y/n: he was here on monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday. why isn't he here today?
o: i don't know and i don't care, it's alex
y/n: true, we better get to class. don't want to be yelled at
y/n: i'll meet you there, i have to collect my books
o: ok, see you there. i'll save a seat for u!
she ran down the hallways, stumbling a bit. i saw her take a sharp left turn, i started collecting my books and walked to class.

alex not being here, is actually really quiet and relaxing. but hopefully he's all good, i'm so hungry omg chick fil-a? taco bell? chipotle? panda express? kfc? mcdonald's? burger king? hungry jacks? wendy's? i could eat makeup right now, i'm starving

the first two periods ended quickly, me and ona walked to the lockers to put away our books and we headed out to snack, to eat some food
o: omg i'm starving, that stupid teacher kept on talking and talking. he's so fckin annoying
y/n: *giggles* omg ona your so crazy sometimes
o: ik, but that's why we're besties
y/n: you right
me and ona finished up our food and headed to the lockers, on our way me and ona noticed a girl getting catcalled by a group of boys. not alex's group, a new group. i noticed them, one of them being payton - one of my ex crushes

o: leave her alone!
the group of boys look over at me and ona, they soon forget our existence and continued to harass the innocent girl
o: we have to do something - ona whispered to me
y/n: don't worry, ik what to do
o: here she goes - ona whispered to herself
i charged towards the group of boys, i grab both chases; one by the ear and one by the hair. i told jackson to run and he bolted off to class, i quickly push both of them in the bin and walk up to ona and the girl
o: finally ur back, ms baxter is gonna yell at us!
y/n: chill, it'll be fine. we'll just tell her what happened
s: thanks for saving me back there
y/n and o: no problem
o: what's ur name?
s: sophia
y/n: cool my name is y/n and this is ona - i gave a little gesture towards ona, so she knew who i was talking about
s: do u have ms baxter?
o: yeah me and y/n have the same schedule
s: well can i join you guys? i think i have the same schedule as well!
y/n and o: sure!
we headed to class and payton was sitting with his little pack of hyaenas, ms baxter asked us what happened and so she decided to give the boys friday detention. all three of us were so happy, we were being goofy the whole class and the pack of asshats just kept giving us death stares.

time skip to lunch
sophia became part of our group, she is rly nice and caring and suuuu pretty. she's basically become the mother of our group, we're glad we met her. we decided to hang out at my house and have a sleepover since it was friday and no one was home
i was packing up my bags, when someone suddenly pulled me aside into a corridor that was filled with darkness.
p: calm down, it's just me payton
he grabbed his phone and turned on the flash facing us
p: see
y/n: what are u doing?
p: i'm sry by how my boys acted earlier
y/n: well u just fckin stood there and did nothing
p: ik i was just-
y/n: bye
p: no y/n wait
y/n: no, piss off asshat

i looked back at payton and told him
'my friends are waiting for me to have a sleepover and ur friends are waiting for u in detention'
