Well Dean stayed true to his word and he did start painting me, quite well actually.Even though he didn't have permission...
I was almost done with cleaning up the table when the bell rung throughout the halls. I hurried over to the cabinet, got my bag, and slung it on my right shoulder as I walked to the door. Dean rushed to put all the supplies up, dropping some paper towels that had been used to mop up the mess when he spilled our clean water before it ruined the other canvases.
A smile splayed on my face, he's such a moron, we do have eight minutes to get to our next class, there's no reason for him to rush. I pushed open the door as he leaned over to throw something in the small trash can in the back. Once I was in the hallway it was total chaos, but hey it is highschool. Hundreds of kids flooded out of classrooms and took to the halls and God it was crowded. I was constantly being pushed by the current of students but I really didn't mind. If you didn't "go with the flow" you would get tripped and trampled on.
Dean obviously didn't know this as he hurried through the crowd," C-CAS WAIT UP," he yelled as he pulled his way through. I looked back just in time to see him trip and fall into an abyss of students.
I sighed, this is just great, the moron can't even walk in the halls without needing help. I took a deep breath and just stopped walking, hoping no one would push me down. There was no way I was getting to him with everyone here endless I wanted to be stepped on too.
After four more minutes of standing still and hoping, the bell rung and the only kids left started running to their classes. I ran over to Dean, dear god I hope my skirt didn't fly up. He was about thirty feet away and he was just laying there groaning.
When I finally got to him I saw the damage, his nose was bleeding and it kinda looked broken, I don't know I'm not a doctor, he had dusted footprints on his shirts and pants. The whole thing was kinda comical really.
I walked around and stood in front of his feet, the tips of our shoes touched. I leaned forward and grabbed his muscular arms," Word of advice Dean," I pulled him up, feet bracing his so he didn't just slide," Never, ever try to push past anyone in the hallways."
Maybe I pulled up too hard, maybe he couldn't catch his balance, but when ever he finally stood up correctly for a second he fell forward onto me.
"Woah," I breathed out as I got my balance again, neck grazed by his scruff. He was heavy, not so much I couldn't support him but he was pretty heavy.
I pushed him back up gently in a moment," Come on now," I joked smiling," You can't just be falling on me Dean, come on man get a grip!"
He looked at me as soon as he could stand on his own. "Is that right," He asked," Well would it be so bad to fall for you instead?"
He chuckled as I scoffed.
"I'm just joking, I don't swing that way," he said looking down at me.
Uhhh huh? Sure, you keep thinking that honey...
"I'm full out into girls," he continued, making sure I got the point.
He really just doesn't give up does he?
I ignored the statement and asked,"What's your next class?"
He shrugged his broad shoulders and pulled an pink slip of paper out of his back pocket. "Mr. Singer, science level one," he said reading the pink sheet.
I furrowed my brows, crap, crap, crap, crap, that's my next class too. I forced a small smile and sighed,"Well that's my next class too so just, follow me I guess."
I turned and started walking in the direction of the east stairs.
"You coming Winchester," I asked halfway up the stairs
"Not yet I'm not," he snickered following me up the stairs and down the hall way.
It was awkward for a bit, just silence between us as I directed him to our class and I knew he was going to ask, I just knew it...
"So Castiel..........," he trailed, rubbing the back of his neck.
Go on, ask me you sexist punk, I'll punch you in the fucking face.
"You make a very beautiful girl... You know.. In a nonromantic kind of way," he stammered out, seeming to regret it immediately
"Well.. Um, t-thank you Winchester," I replied in shock, that's not exactly how I imagined this conversation going.
"I mean don't get me wrong... it's just, YOURE a GUY, so uh," he continued trying to make things less awkward
He was gay, he HAD to be. No one hits on me unless they're gay... Well there was that one girl but that doesn't count..
"I just wanted to let you know cause I'm not gay," he assured a little too thoroughly.
Beep beep beep
Oh sorry you guys, my gaydar is going off.
"Yeah, sure thing Winchester," I said, my voice dripping with annoyed sarcasm,"class is right here."
I took a sharp turn to the right and swung open the door, hoping to God that he wouldn't be seated next to me...
This was going to be a long year....
