Why was it so quiet? Sure it was a hospital, but it was almost dead silent.

He had been looking at the hospital's bare walls for four days. Kaminari was so bored, he wanted out of this hospital right away. Of course, that probably wasn't something he would get to do for a long while. Guess the white walls were going to be his best friends for a while.

It'd been 4 whole days since he'd woken up in the hospital. The first day, he was put under so many evaluations with tests, blood draws, and so much healing from Recovery Girl. The old woman quietly healed him while asking how he was feeling, and told him to rest well before leaving.

The second day, was when his parents were let in to visit. Kaminari never thought he'd seen his mother and father cry more than that day, but for whatever reason, he cried just as much. Unfortunately, whenever they spoke, which wasn't all that much, they didn't exactly make him feel any better about himself. It was just that they barely said a word to him, they were too busy crying or talking to one another. His parents pretty much only spoke to each other in the lowest possible voices.

He always tried to hear what they said, but his head started to spin whenever he tried and he would end up with a massive headache. It didn't help his concussion all that much, or at all really.

When they left his room they talked with the doctors about when he would be discharged before they left.

On the third day, he was met with the awkward smiles and hesitant laughs of the classmates that came to visit him. It wasn't the best with them tiptoeing around her room like he was some kind of fine china ready to break at any second.

Kaminari looked down at her hospital nightgown as his fingers grazed over where bandages over his chest were hidden. A gift from the car that almost killed him.

He gave his friends a hesitant smile, as he was afraid to do anything else. He looked around worriedly for Jiro as he was worried about how she was doing after what had happened.

"Where she?" He half-joked, "Did she not wanna come with you guys to visit me when I'm practically dying?"

Kaminari chuckled lamely as he imagined her refusing to come to visit. It sounded kind of like something she would do, but he would've hoped they were close enough that she would at least visit.

He noticed the grim expressions plastered on his classmates' faces, and his playful demeanor quickly.

"Jiro actually hurt her ankle when you pushed her out of the way," Kirishima started with a forced smile on his face. Ashido, Yaoyorozu, and Uraraka looked at him intensely while Midoriya, Bakugo, and Iida all kept their eyes on her. "But that didn't keep her from staying by your side while you were unconscious."

He looked at Kirishima in confusion. "What… a-are you sure it was Jiro and not another classmate?" He asked unsurely.

“Earphone girl wouldn't let anyone near you until the damn ambulance came. She would even let shitty hair close," Bakugo deadpanned, his arms crossed while he eyeballed him.

"Kacchan!" Scolded Midoriya.

"What? He's alive, right?! That's all that matters now, ain't it?" The blond snapped.

“Good to know you love me, Bakugo,” Teased Kaminari.

He growled, “I don't give a damn about you. The only reason I'm here is because earphone girl asked me to give you this note.”

As he said that, a crumpled up slip of paper was shoved in his lap.

Hey Dork, sorry I couldn't visit you today. I just feel so awful. It’s not fair that you got hurt because of me. Trust me, I'm really worried about you, but I doubt I can come to see you right now. The doctor said I shouldn't move around too much. See you soon though.
