"Stop following me!"

Jackie stared at the prince unmoving, he was angry at her. As he was almost angry with her, complaining as he didn't want her doing her job.

Jackie was at first excited about this job, it was a highly coveted one too. The Prince's guard, a glorified babysitter the prince said. She honestly didn't want to be a baby sitter. She wasn't a baby sitter, she was a soldier, the chosen hero.  She frowned deeper at the thought, she placed her hand on her hip staring him down. She wasn't going to be moved from her duty.

I am doing my duty, prince Dark  She signed to him, he groaned loudly. He turned around continuing forward, opening up the Sheikah tablet. His boots hit the ground, causing dust to fly behind him as he walked.

She stared following him again and sighed. They were great friends, at least she thought so, before she became his personal guard.  They were around each-other long before this change, a strange friendship.

They would see each-other in the halls and outside the castle, wave and smile, exchange greetings. It wasn't until the king introduced the two, as the Hero of Hyrule and the Descendant of  Goddess, they needed to know one another.

She was quite, so she assumed it was like talking to a brick wall for the prince, as they'd hang out when she was doing sword exercises. And when she wasn't doing that Dark was tell her about the most random things, about bugs, his favorite dog, and the books he read finished recently. While she herself would sign to him about her favorite foods, Horses, and the occasionally dead thing she found on the roads of castle town. The last would cause the Prince to groan and sometimes gag if she describe it well enough,

Though, that all changed after the king choose her as her guard. At first she believed that it was a wonderful thing. She thought they could become closer, they could be like the Hylian's that travel together and become even closer. But the Prince didn't see it the same way, he say it as a burden, she supposed.

Her ears lowered slightly as she she looked at sky, it was starting to turn a pinkish orange. They would need to camp soon, or find a stable. The whine of horses caught her attention, she looked up and saw a man riding his horse mumbling to himself ahead. She waved her hand getting his attention.

"Ah pardon me, i was lost in thought" he said, she tilted her head, "ah i was just wondering what i should bring my girls from the rito village"

She nodded seriously, children were hard to get gifts for, especially girls. He laughed at her seriousness, "Now what where you asking?"

She smiled before signing, H-O-R-S-E S-T-A-B-L-E where?

He stared for a second before smiling, "ah there is one down the way, if you follow the path I'm riding along," he pointed forward, "The Out Skirt stable should be up ahead"

Thank you

"No problem, better watch your friend before he runs into a tree" He said with a snort as continued to ride along. She turned around just as the prince ran into a tree, she winced the thwack was loud.

'dear hylia give me strength' she walked over to the prince, pulling him up with a sigh. He grunted as she started leading him to the Stable. She could only dream of the soft beds they had there, and she could make delicious fruit pie a rito they ran into told her about.
