Lance Point of View:

Later on, during the day Pidge and her family came over to have dinner. Near the end of dinner, Colleen (Pidge's mom) was washing dishes with my mom, our dads were talking to each other and my younger siblings played in the living room. The only ones at the table were Veronica, Matt, Pidge, and I. It felt so awkward just sitting next to her, I mean, she was almost half naked! Closest I ever got to see a woman like that...let's forget I said anything. I decided to break the ice, "Hey, about earlier today, I wanted to-" "It's fine Lance." she cut me off. She looked down the whole time she was sitting next to me, made me feel worse. She spoke, "Listen, I'm sure we're both equally embarrassed right? Besides, it wasn't that big of a deal, so let's just forget about it." I was about to respond when Matt asked me, "So! Lance, what school do you go to?" I replied, "I go to Garrison High! It's a great school." "Really?" Matt looked a little surprised, but I mean, why wouldn't he be, that schools only for the best (Lance being cocky). Matt continued, standing up from his seat next to my sister, "In that case, can we talk out in the hallway?" I got a little nervous, "Yeah, okay."

Matt and I walked into the hallway nearing the restroom and my bathroom. "Look, Lance, I'm gonna cut to the chase. Katie-er Pidge isn't really a...' people' person. She doesn't make friends well." I looked back at Pidge for a second as he was saying this to me, " She's a really cool person, but she has some trust issues. 50% of the reason we moved here to California is to get a fresh start." He paused again, "Lance I'm asking you to be her friend."  I replied, "I mean, of course! But uh...It might be a little...awkward." He raised an eyebrow, "...why's that?" I began to explain, " Well it's a really funny story. I may or may not have seen your sister without a shirt on, and look man I was just trying to say hi and-" "ASDFJKLW;2KL!" what a reply! He began coughing, "haaa- my sister is a dumbass." I replied, "Are you- are you gonna murder me now 'cause uh- I can leave." Even though it is my own home. He calmed down, "Lance- you seem like a nice guy. I know it was an accident. As long as it wasn't on purpose, I'm good." He reached into his pocket, "But just so we're clear..." pops out a pocket knife, "Oh hey! What's this conveniently placed pocket knife here in my pocket used to kill anyone who hurts my sister-" "Okay okay," I replied, "I get it."

I shuffled my way over to my seat at the dinner table.

Pidge Point of View:

Lance returned to the dinner table and Matt and Veronica decided to leave the table and chat by the front door. Lance began to speak, "Hey, so Pidge, you a freshman?" I gave him a blank stare, not like anyone else thought I was 13 anyways. "I'm a junior." "OBDMKDHSK;XHS)$|HA;-7H" I heard in the corner of the room, "How the hell did you say that out loud?" sounded like Veronica. He grabbed the sides and got closer to my face, "What!!! You're like...14!!!" Better than 13??? "I'm 16, I skipped a grade, " I yelled, then whispered, "And personal space dude." I booped him on the nose which made him take his hands off my face and face away from my face.
